Vice news: juiced up

ad

Vice have brought out some brilliant media in the past and although this isnt that it is still worth a watch. Guy is a typical reckless 5%er.

I haven't gotten around to watching the other episodes but the series is called swole.

All you need to do to make a youtube hit channel is find the stoooopidist people out there and place them in front of a camera and say; "lights.... camera..... action... ok man, just talk, in your own words..... just let it alllllll out"!
5% yolo's... pft

Money is in he extreme, it wouldn't the same volume of hits if it followed round a guy who cycles safe and respected his body!

My favorite is the skinny guy who says they can't all look like us, I'm going to be a male stripper!

What a tool!!

Funny how they always choose the not-so-bright users to represent all of us. And for a leftist publication, that's quite surprising that they're portraying enhanced individuals this way. "My body my choice" applies to abortion but not hormones, huh? And if this were a video documenting a transgender person's transition, you know they'd choose someone more well spoken… who's using pretty much the same damn hormones for the same reasons: seeking happiness.

Well said. One of the problems are the stigma attached to steroid users, if a professional/well spoken user was interviewed and followed i would be sure they would probably loose their job.. as you said it's funny you can legally use steroids to help change your sex but to enhance your body it's a no no. What a crazy world we live in when we praise people for cutting of there genitalia and shame those who are trying to improve what they already have.

GrowMore's picture

It's a huge problem with the fight to educate people about steroids, all the professional/normal/non idiotic gear heads pretend not to be on them otherwise they'll be judged and ridiculed.

helloBrooklyn's picture

It's physically impossible for someone to change his or her sex, but yes, the stigma associated with gender reassignment is all but gone while steroid users still bear the scarlet letter. I don't view steroid users as being a whole lot different from transgender individuals. What is the driving impetus behind the decisions of both? Discontent. Because the individuals in question, in both cases, feel as though their inside doesn't match their outside. Really, what is so different between not being male/female enough and not being jacked enough? I would love to begin a social rights movement for juicers, but unfortunately, that martyrdom would come with a heavy price. Why? Because I would be, in the eyes of many and first and foremost, a criminal. It's a shame. A damn shame. So here we hide like rats on eroids, protected by anonymity that we shouldn't need to begin with. We shouldn't have to live like this. In secrecy. As though we're doing something wrong.

We're not.

Right on brother, we should organise a pro steroid walk through our capital cities and make the public realise we are not the enemy.

Only problem is no one would turn up!

The price is size the goal is swole!

You make some very valid and interesting points here. I'm having a hard time swallowing the fact of being the same as someone wanting to gender reassign....not saying I don't agree with your point though. I won't sleep well over this tonight lol

8 years straight? This guy is doing it all wrong. He isn't that impressive and he is adding to the stereotype in a bad way....

Unfortunately for every responsible gear head there's 2 of this guy.

8yrs straight his balls must be gone but he is a big guy.

Self prescribed TRT, sounds like in the early days he didn't control his oestrogen. He is a unit that's for sure.

Pure anti steroid propaganda as usual.

Exactly brother! I had to thumb that down for being way to one sided!

Hit the nail on the head.
