+ 1 My new favorite omelette!!
ad
Just a quick share with you guys....
I've recently started having an omelette (IF I HAVE THE TIME) before my workout.
1× tin of tuna
1× tomato
4× large eggs. THE FULL EGG!!!!.
Make the omelette as you normally would, chop the tomatoes and add the tuna, then blend together. If you have them add some Italian herbs for added flavour.
Cook the omelette one side then turn over...add the rest with Cheese then fold......when cooked and enjoy!!!!

Thank you for the post.
I am glad you found that something that works for you.
However, my stomach would boot immediately if I ate that as a preworkout. Tuna, eggs, tomatoes, Italian seasoning mixed together? Yuck. Also no carbs preworkout?
Also, Im sorry, but anytime I hear "if I have the time" it makes me palm my face. Bodybuilders make time.
Your omelets should take no more than 10 minutes to prep (if not done prior), cook, and consume. All depends on how long it takes for you to cut a tomato, heat up a pan, and open a can. Something this simple can even be prepped prior and reheated without sacrificing the "taste".
Again thanks for sharing and happy training.
Each to their own mate. ;)
I do have a carb shake pre workout and the reason I said "if I have time" is because I normally go straight from work to the gym so I can't really cook an omelette in the van whilst driving...(bit tricky).
This is more of snack if I get an early finish from work and have time to fill a gap but not to bloat myself before training
I smell what you are cooking brother. You mention omelet and training so I presumed this was an am session. You could always make the meal, pack it and microwave it later. For myself, regardless of when I train. I supplement my pre and postwork with whey isolate , fish oil, and a simple carb drink. If I consume anything of real substance an hour prior to training, more than liking it will be coming up in the middle of the squat rack. Not longer than an hour after I train I consume a real whole food meal. Perfect time for a high protein , nutrient dense meal.
Either way , I see that a few member have tried and enjoyed your omelet idea. So kudos for that. Good luck to you.
This carb drink is a godsend. It has.......
Dextrose
Maltodextrin
Glycine
Doesn't taste great but it does the trick. I've used whey and casein and both give me stomach ache. But this is working for me (fingers crossed).
Finally made one, pretty tasty I will admit!....will add some peppers n onion on the next one..
Thanx kibby
Cheers buddy!
Not bad for a quick feed. ;)
Nice omlette Kibby
I do a version of this with sun dried tomatoes
nom!
NICE!!!!
will be trying it with them
you really cant beat this kinda food!!
My favorite omelette is Charlie sweets... oh you mean breakfast ham and cheese all the way bro Tabasco as well
AnonAlternative (no time)
X1 Tin of tuna
X4 boiled eggs
Step 1. Eat Eggs on way to gym.
Step 2. Stealthily Release gassy proteins during training.
Step3. Eat Tuna straight from tin like a savage.
Step4. Convince yourself tomorrow you are Definelty going to Meal Prep better.
lol
Raw eggs and straight up tins of tuna IS my meal prep. I spend roughly an hour cooking each night to prepare for the next day so why drag things out even further?
AnonScottish Salmon and rice is my current go to. Versus Atlantic Cod and sweet potato :/
Fuck me poco!!!!
Do you live with the queen or something???
Anon£4.50 per 500g of salmon. pretty cheap quality macros.
Tuna is as far as I go with fish mate....can't stand it!
Wish I did, things would be a lot easier. But on the flipside it forces you to make things less bland and boring so turning a negative into a positive I guess
AnonYup i hear ya, some fish can truly fucking stank. others like freshly caught trout, or a nice bass or salmon taste and even smell damn good.
Love some game meat to of course. Pheasant, wood pigeon, rabbit etc. can be pretty fatty though.
I hate seafood I hate the taste I hate the smell and I hate the price
I'm a poor city kid; I can't afford that shite. $0.49/tin tuna is the best I can do on an everyday basis
.
Anondecent rod, some tackle, few grubs and a strong gust of wind might find you a few freebies swimming around lol.
Oh, I have a decent rod, don't worry.
AnonPrevious to your comment i wasnt concerned. I am now.
Sorry, deadpan delivery and "no homo" just doesn't mix
Anonlol no need. i hold my sense of humor dear to my heart. its the only true emotion i feel. therefore i read the delivery.
Sounds pretty good, but I'm so sick of eating tuna I can't imagine adding it to anything voluntarily. Sunny side up eggs with blood sausage and scrambled eggs with sharp cheddar are my favorites. Scrambled with lobster is good too when I can afford it. Love whole eggs.
