Better tasting chicken
ad
Does anyone have some good ideas on how to change up the flavor of chicken to make it more desirable? Im looking for ideas that are lower in sodium and somewhat low in fat.
Ketchup and dry herb blends are getting old....

Wow what happend to big murphy
Hopefully is just an error or temporary, hes always seemed like a good dude.
add some fat free cheese and ham.
Sounds wierd as fuck but mix chicken with mango or chicken with Asian peanut sauce. peanut sauce will bring chicken to a whole new level they even have a low sodium option that tastes just as good. Ketchup is the condiment ever my mom bought me a shirt once that said I put ketchup on my ketchup
bigmurphPeanut sauce is amazing make some chicken satay with it
Yeah it is I buy a whole chicken eod and through it in a tortilla with peanut sauce all by it's self huge protien low carbs with that good Ole peanut sauce sometimes I use sweet chilli sauce as well
bigmurphSlow cooker add enchilada sauce and hot sauce if you're not big on spice skip the hot sauce. The chicken will pull right apart and you can add it to rice and beans or tortillas or really whatever you want and you can prep meals with it and heat it up without it turning into rubber
Crock pot enchilada chicken yes before I bake them I mix cream cheese in the chicken that's a secret don't tell anyone lol. Love black bean or just refried beans with cheese melted dammit guys I'm watching my cals
bigmurphCream cheese mixed in sounds amazing. I will try this later this week. Gotta get me some cream cheese
Use a cast iron pan and cook it with 1tbs sesame oil, sea salt, black pepper. When ready to eat put some Sriracha sauce on it.
Quick fry in the frying pan- Use coconut oil instead of olive oil for a different taste that is still healthy...... And yes Crock Pot chicken is the the shit.
Oh man if we are going to open the doors to fried chicken this could good get ugly fast! Yum
Im not sure ot fits your macros but !!!
Slow cooker, boneless chicken breast add 1 jar salsa
About 6 hours later on low. DELICIOUS and tender
bigmurphI do this also have you ever tried using the enchilada sauce you won't be disappointed
I always grill my chicken because any time I have cooked it a different way, it's tastes so bad when I reheat it.
For those of you that use a slow cooker or crock pot, does it have that undesirable related flavor?
It's the opposite it's so moist and delicious cause of the slow cooker. I shred it all up like jl said and add a little corn starch towards the end so all the juice and spices become like a glaze all over the chicken. Slow cooker is where it's at man.
Slow cook chicken on low for 3hrs w spices.
shred up with forks
mix in a little startch for consistency
cook for another 2 hrs on low.
Most flavorful chicken you'll ever have.
Do you just use chicken breasts or do you use dark meat too?
ill usually use chicken breast because I can get it in big packs cheap. But I'll grab chicken thighs when they are on sale and throw those in too.
pork slow cooked is incredible as well.
I find replacing the chicken breast with steak helps.
I love some steak. The times I've switched though I notice my body fat increase so quickly. I have to keep my.animal fat intake low, unfortunately.
Slow cooker is key for me. Theres a whole section at the supermarket for crock pot seasoning packets. No matter what the meat is on the cover there all bomb on chicken. I cook up 4-5lbs at a time and eat it all week.
No carbs but definitely not low on sodium.
Crock pot cook the chicken until you can shred it with a fork. After you shred all the chicken. Add what ever flavor you like. I eat a lot of rice and chicken. So once it's all shredded all spilt it into differnet containers and add a variety of flavors so Im not always eating the same thing. I like curry, BBQ, mesquite seasoning, oyster sauce, stir fry sauce, I have variety of south of the border flavors, to name a few or whatever suits you. Put it over rice add some veggies.. BOOM!! Food for days..
So do you mix it with a liquid? If so, what?
Yes. I'll add chicken or vegetable stock if I need to add liquid. More so with dry seasonings. Also balsamic and apple cider ginger for a little kick.
I use EVOO.. (extra virgin olive oil). Cost the chicken breast , Red pepper flake/ Garlic powder/ black pepper/ baked then topped with mushrooms and onions. But I feel ya it gets old
