+ 20 Answer these questions before you think about a cycle - What to research for AAS beginners
I've seen a lot of people here lately asking questions that they shouldn't have to ask. I know we're here to help each other and ask questions, but you need to know the basics before you start. And if you don't, you're either an irresponsible asshole or an idiot. Most likely both. You need to know how to research and what to research.
Always research research research. And when you think you know everything, remember you're just a Moe off the street and you don't, then research some more and don't fucking stop ever because things are always changing and new findings are always happening.
I haven't seen a post that tells new guys what to research exactly, and while i'm not gonna hold any hands, I couldn't find a checklist on the site to guide them along the way. If I missed it, I apologize for being a blind dummy, and I'll delete this post.
Now to the point...
You need to be able to answer AT LEAST all of these questions before you can cycle responsibly:
(If i think of more, I'll ad them. Also please let me know if you think i missed something crucial and i'll add it.)
- Am I at least 25 years of age? (just because you are, it's not an automatic green light!)
- How long have I been training?
- Have you maxed out your natural potential or close to it (like 80-85% of the way there. There are calculators out there, use them)
- What is the goal you want to achieve with running your cycle? (thanks Makwa)
- Is my diet in check?
- Do I drink a gallon of water a day?
- What is your TDEE and how do you use that number to structure your cals for weight loss or weight gain?
(thanks Makwa) - What is the minimum amount of protein you should be consuming based upon your bodyweight?
(thanks Makwa) - Am I dedicated and will I continue to be dedicated through PCT and for the foreseeable future?
- What is your baseline testosterone/e2?
- What's e2, and why the fuck do you care about it?
- What's DHT, and why the fuck do you care about it?
- What are LH & FSH, and what's each of their jobs?
- What are the signs of high/low estro? (thanks Makwa)
- What is the HPTA? (thanks Makwa)
- When should bloodwork be taken and why? (thanks Makwa)
- What's a PCT?
- What are the PCT drugs?
- What does each of them do?
- What are their pros/cons/effects on the body?
- How do they interact with each other?
- How do they interact with different AI's?
- How do different AI's interact with them?
- Dafuck is a SERM?
- What are the PCT drugs you'll use?
- When will you start taking them?
- Why?
- What dosage when?
- How long?
- Will you use an AI in PCT?
- Why?
- If you do, what kind and why?
- What AI do you want to use on cycle?
- Why THAT AI? What makes that one so special? How's it different from the others? pro's/cons?
- What dosage will you use it at?
- When will you start taking it according to what ester testosterone you use?
- Do you need to include testosterone in every cycle?
^(YES! and no, you can't do an oral only run. Get used to stabbing yourself or don't even bother) - What dosage of testosterone will you run and of what ester?
- What's the differences between the esters?
- What are the pro's/con's of each ester?
- What the fuck is an ester anyway?
- What are the pro's/con's/sides of testosterone?
- What's your dosing schedule for the ester you choose?
- Why?
- Do you have everything you need on hand (PCT, AI, AAS in that order)? (thanks Makwa)
- How many sites do you need in your rotation?
- Why?
- What are the sites you'll use in that rotation?
- Do you know how to properly administrate at those sites?
- What is PIP and how do you prevent it or minimize it? (thanks Makwa)
- What's aspirating?
- How do you prep the area for injection?
- What are the signs and symptoms of a real infection and how does it differ from a sterile abscess?
(thanks Trenagade) - If you get itchy nipples or heavy bloat, what will you do?
- If your hair falls out, and/or you start pissing way more than normal, or it's hard to piss, what will you do?
- What do you do if your gear is crashed? (thanks Makwa)
Responsibility checklist (thanks Carlos)
- do you still live with your parents?
- Is there mold growing in your bathtub/shower?
- Does anyone have to ask why your fingernails/toenails are so long?
- If you answer yes to any of the above you are too immature to use gear regardless of age.
Real talk this question should be up there:
Are you financially able to afford to spend equal amounts of $$$ on FOOD AND AAS as your rent or mortgage?
If you cannot financially afford to spend on quality food, supplements and quality gear then most likely you have bigger issues/priorities. My food bill on cycle can be anywhere between 600$-800$ a month for high quality organic foods and my supps. That's not including money spent on the gear and ancillaries. Don't be a Swoles broke ass bum. Have the right priorities and get your financials in order then worry about getting swole.
Notice there's no question about any other AAS that's not testosterone. That's because you have no need and no business adding a second compound in your first cycle, and you have no business running a cycle unless you can answer the above questions correctly. And even then it's not always a good idea.
Fucking read, people.

Thank you im reaseaching now .
Here’s another... there’s a plethora of info here man. Research & research some more before ever making a decision
https://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/steroid-cycles/first-time-cycle...
No but thanks
yeah ok I’m good but thank anyway It was a simple question but after reading half of your reply and not doing the research , listening to you I’ll be confused but thanks dick
RustyhookerHe was trying to help. He took time to clearly do so.
-2 and headed towards troll stats.
Don’t come to us when you have tits and a broken dick. If you can’t do simple math at 38 I can’t help you anyways. I will remember this and I won’t help you when you fucked your self up. Hope you have a good doctor, fuck-o
Oh no I trained for six or seven months I've made excellent progress without it and I was only planning on doing one at a time I was asking how many cc should I do for beginners or mg I wasn't going to take both together
I know bud. I still think you still need to know this stuff. I’m not trying to be a dick but to be completely honest, if you researched and knew everything you need to know to safely run a cycle, you wouldn’t need to be asking how many cc’s to use.
If you don’t know something basic like how many cc’s you should use (which is already a silly question, since you should be going by mg’s not cc’s), that there’s a damn good probability that you don’t know about estrogen management, PCT, how to metigate sides, etc.
This is a huge commitment with big conciquences if you don’t know what you’re doing. 6 months of training doesn’t justify buying a couple bottles and injecting whatever someone on the Internet said was a good amount. If you can do basic math, after you research all this stuff and you’ll be able to answer your own question, and you’ll also be able to protect yourself and stay safe.
I’m just looking out for you man. I don’t want you going into this unprepared and coming back here after shit hit the fan, and you now have tits and a dick that doesn’t work, lost all your gains and wanting us to help you pick up the pieces.
RustyhookerWell said
Thanks pal. How’ve you been? I haven’t been as active on here lately. I pop in SI’s but have been busy as shit. At least too busy to baby sit as much as I’d like to. Plus off cycle is boring lol
RustyhookerLifting hard and just watching si etc. I ripped on a guy earlier. Gave legit answer and baby cakes got flipped out. These kiddies are saving the gene pool by chemical castration. Lol
Lol fuckin aye
do you still live with your parents?
Is there mold growing in your bathtub/shower?
Does anyone have to ask why your fingernails/toenails are so long?
If you answer yes to any of the above you are too immature to use gear regardless of age.

Actually, those are god damn great points. Good shit I'll figure out how to work them in. at least the food/financial stuff lol.
whats the answer to this one?
ur hair falls out, and/or you start pissing way more than normal, or it's hard to piss, what will you do?
Cabaser? Finasteride?
Like I said man, this is a guide. I'm not spoon feeding. Use the magnifying glass at the top left of the page and find out. In addition, go research what cabaser is and what it's used for. Good luck.
Health wise, that's one of the most important questions up there.
As cabaser is to control prolactin and the thing that affects both prostate and hair is DHT so to combat it you gotta use finasteride
Good job. You'd wanna get bloods done first though so u know how bad ur DHT is. And as always do it under doc supervision so u don't fuck anything up.
You'd be suprised what your doctor may be receptive to if you're open and honest with him. If you're open with your doctor and he reacts poorly, go find a doctor that doesn't. My doc knows everything I do so when I do cycle, he's there if anything goes wrong and helps monitor bloodwork and shit like that too.
Chapter 2, paragraph C, sub-paragraph i, in the no homo guidebook reads: Excessive aknowleged thanks towards another man qualifies as homo. If you thank a man more that 3 times in any written post, the act is equivalent to a blow job to the said person, therefore requiring equal and successive no homos for the rest of the post. In the event that more than five repetitive "thanks" are directed to another man by an offender, the "no homo", no matter how passionately stated is rendered null and void, and the said offender has technically committed a homosexual act equivalent to having a train run on them by a group of black lives matter activists, therefore the person in question is a big fat homo.
Hope that helps (Thanks Makwa) no homo
Ed
lol. just didn't want to take credit for any that I didn't come up with. Gonna have to do some brushing up this weekend.
It's all good bro. We might have to change your name to "Likes the D from philly.
hahaha and I'd clearly deserve it
I'm just giving you shit.
+2 for being a good sport and taking the time to write this up.
thanks buddy (no homo) winky face!
Yeah bro...the winky face just put you back in the gray....
lol. i can go all day. no homo
Lol. That's what ace tells me. No homo
As much as I like the intent, you're being unrealistic for probably 80% of steroid users these days. They're largely not going to bother, don't care just "wanna get swole bro". That's modern reality, injecting yourself with hormones is no longer a big thing, (apparently).
This questions can be carried out as an examination before cycling with some kind of scoring.
GnarkillLmfao makwa is the shit truly a helpful person and that's rare these days
There are subjects on this site that are repeated so many times, that it is completely ridiculous and redundant. Examples are age and beginner cycles, yet there is post after post after post after post. "I'm 22, this is my first cycle and I'm going to add this and this and this and this and want to know everones opinion on adding blah blah blah.. Oh, and by the way I'm on week three."
My point is, the simplest and most basic principles of this site (whether you sgree with all of them or not), are repeatedly discussed. If people won't pay attention to that then I don't think they're going to get more indepth. Truth is, although a list is nice and will help a few, most people are just stupid and lazy.
Not to take away from your list though.
The sooner we accept that, the happier we'll be. ;-)
Expecting people of live up to our standards is a recipie for frustration. It's a lesson I still struggle with.
It's sad when we're suprised when an OP actually listens and does the right thing.
I don't disagree. I just hope it helps some. If it helps some then it served its purpose. I hope anyways.
Fyi, not meant to be argumentative. I agree that these are all things that "should" be understood. I just get a little tired of seeing the same stupid posts everday when it's completely unnecessary. It's not like the info is a needle in a haystack. You just can't tell some people anything. It's like kicking a dumbass dog in the head for crapping on the porch. He cowers down and knows he's wrong, but I'll be damned if he isn't right back on that porch tomorrow, crapping all over it, and knowing he's going to get kicked in the head again. I applaud the attempt though. (Not referring to your post as stupid)
Lol. absolutely no offense taken, boss. I know exactly where you're coming from and didn't take it in any negative way at all. Hell, the reason I wrote this was because I was tired of seeing dumb questions. But you're right, there's no helping some people.
Good post +2
nice list, its copy paste worthy. +1
I think this list is very comprehensive and would be a great tool for someone who wants to do things right, maybe sticky? Thanks for taking the time to put this together!
Thanks man. That would be cool, but I don't have any control over that lol. I just wanted to put this up so people can link to it when a new guy is lost.or if someone searches "what to research"
For every 1 reader of this post, there are 20 that will bypass it. I am in this game myself for the long run but me personally could care less about tdee or macros or e.t.c. Because of that i will never be on stage; my life is hectic enough.
I spoke with a guy this week I train near; he stays 10% BF all year round and I asked him what his typical day is and after about 10 minutes of listening to the high maintenance routine I told him to stop.
Could I be Pro or get on stage? I can guarantee it based off what I achieved without counting how many calories or carbs I stuff down my throat; Do I want to be? Nope. No desire. Just like the other 70% here.
I just want to look good and feel good with the occasional 400 pound benchpress to ego lift at the gym.
If we are going to convince people here on a cycle and on how to eat and such, if we start asking them about their macro intake and their TDEE and the proper time to consume carbs or protein, we lose them immediately and they do whatever they want. Does anyone read a post truly? When Average Joe puts up a post asking for help with a cycle you can almost guarantee they are not at the Bodybuilder show level because very rarely do I see any true bodybuilders here asking for cycle advice.
Give average Joe what he is looking for, cycle advice with a strong AI and some diet support, but to try and go into details about macros and optimal carb consumption timing e.t.c you just lost him because all he knows is "I eat about 200 grams of protein a day." Average Joe wants results yesterday and he is not going to carry around a logbook or pre package every meal he eats a day.
This site is 90% average Weight lifter with the occasional pro or pro to be. Cater to that.
I'm an average joe and definitely no where near being a pro, but I can answer all of those questions and I'm sure you can too. that's the problem, too many average joes are looking to gear without knowing enough about them.
That's why they're illegal where I live. Average Joe goes and fucks himself up because he didn't do enough research and they blame the drugs and not the user. We're not fucking around with vitamins here. These are serious compounds that people should know about before they use. As an expert you clearly already know this shit, but why not guide the new guys that don't know this shit in the right direction? Isn't that what we're here for?
Just because you don't track your calories doesn't mean you don't know how or that you're uninformed.
People shouldn't have to post "i'm three weeks into my cycle and got gyno, then took one dose of nolva and it ruined my cycle". They should know better before they stab themselves.
I would certainly help if thats what is asked but honestly those posts are like finding a diamond ring on the ground. It may sound dickish but they just want to know how many times a day to eat and how much carbs and protein to consume.
Getting to tje cycle portion they want to know how many milligrams and how much adex or aromasin to take as well as pct. I think that has been some of the disconnect lately. I totally agree about everything else you wrote and honestly when I see someone "25" post a cycle and then says its their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, e.t.c I wont bother. That means they were reckless to begin with and have no idea as it is. 25 year olds 1st cycle Ill hop right in.
I believe you need a foundatuon before you start any cycle but condemning someone for 18-22% BF because they want to cycle is ridiculous. If they have been training and losing fat, a cycle should not be out of the question but a warning that they HAVE to take bloods during and before should be mandatory.
I hear ya. And for the record, I didn't condemn anyone for BF or include anything about that. But I hear what you're saying. I included makwa's suggestion about TDEE because you should know how to eat, ya know? Regardless of what your BF is.
But I do think this is all important info that anyone fucking with compounds should know. I don't think we should be spoon feeding anyone. They should know what they're fucking with, right?
I get that they just wanna know how much ADEX or ARO to use, but I think that's the problem. And of course some people will ignore this. But hopefully it helps a few that don't, and that want to know exactly what they're dealing with and how to handle any problems that might come of it. instead of panicing and posting "help i fucked up, what do i do?"
I agree again. We have to really read the post and see the responses from the OP. Im not about spoon feeding but more like answer a question with a question. AAS is not a fkn joint or a bag of candy it can turn bad fast and not knowing the dangers beforehand is like trying to be an astronaught and never wore the suit. Good ideas all the way around.
lol agreed.
Nice job big dog, along with proper injection techniques its important to know the signs and symptoms of a real infection and how it differs from a sterile abscess +
Nice. Definitely worth adding. Thanks boss.
bigmurphGotta give a shout out to makwa guy is great when it comes to helping.
I think new members don't realize that there is a magnifying glass up top that basically has the answer to any question that you can come up with.
Good write-up brother +1
Lot of stuff for people to think about.
Just a couple of others
Running a cycle is obviously a daunting task if it is to be done right.
shit man, I missed a lot. Great calls on all 10. Thanks so much, i'll add them. You think I should number the list?
