This guy seems to have found a good cardio routine while he had a fractured foot, I thought you might find this interesting.
Cheers fella

That's why Eroids was created, bro...:)
Troncan you swim? Do you have access to a pool?
I like that idea. I'd be doing it if I didn't get teased for wearing a life vest.
TronI dont have quite the knowledge of you and mr medx but Ive worked as a personal trainer for quite some time now...and in the area where i started out was a retirement community..a fairly small town..but I immediately found that I would need to work with older clients with disabilities...the pool became a very common place for my clients and I..and ill tell you what brother ive learned how to really get some good workouts in the pool..and if youre injured and or disabled the pool is PERFECT...you can heal and get sttonger ay the same time without the wear and tear of the weights and jogging....One of my favorites is trying to run from one end of the pool to the other..the resistance from being under water while you run can make it one hell of a workout...and I do calisthenics in the water as well...one of my favorites to get started for the routine is standing in about 4 feet of water (depends on your height) but I dive down to the bottom explosively and go into a pushup position..then I explode as if im trying to throw myself up and through the water..do this until youre exhausted ..rest 30 seconds...then go straigh into laps...When I do laps I do more of a "dog paddle" its not for speed ...its for trying to struggle and work your muscles..I go front..then backstroke..every lap rotating from front to back..youll work muscles you arent use to..its a great feeling..the point is to keep your heart rate up the whole time..as far as muscle go es youre pretty much toning..going for endurance..and working on functional strength.
Thanks mate i will start swiming next week and see how i get on thanks for ur advice
That's actually a great idea for the OP. Alternating back and forth between body weight and life vest would work both fast twitch and slow twitch muscle... great idea...adding weighted belts...now it's getting interesting....lol.
+2
Swiming shoulnt be a problem never thait of that thanks mate
Tronyou can kill cardio in a pool..burn hella calories and its pretty much pain free on the joints and perfect fir injuries.
If you are spending time in the gym working out properly your body composition should be improving. Increase lean body mass through lifting weights and proper diet. You don't need cardio to that. If you are not getting results, you need to re-evaluate your training/diet. You can also make your lifting routine into cardio also, Decrease the time between sets. If one minute isn't doing it, take it down to 45 sec and so on. You don't need to be running on a treadmill or bike or whatever to get cardio in. Weight lifting just in itself will burn a ton of cals. I can burn up to 700+ cals in an hour just from lifting alone and the cal burn continues to be elevated for several hours after lifting as, not so with traditional cardio.
I will post my diet and work out plan on later im only using a multi gym as i cant stand and hold the waights would love to use free waigjts but i cant cope lol i know that shounds stupid but ita not lol
You sound diet and exercise savvy. Your BMR puts your TDEE maintenence (2233) with activity (1.25), which might need to be lower (activity tolerance) or higher (foot injury), at 2700-2800 cal/d. If you are doing a daily macros of 300-325g/200g/120g (p/c/f), is that reflected in all the food you eat? Your diet looks like it needs more protein like milk, eggs, lean meats, etc. For lifting regimens, I would do light and heavy days, but focus on light weight and full high reps 15-25, but get the burn, even if it takes 60-80 reps, get the burn on a warm up. Rest less in between sets, too. And, I'd do 25-35 minutes for the regimen.
My daily diet
Breckfast 80g branflakes
2 table spoons of skia youghurt
1 serving of fruit
Brunch 1 diet protine shake
Lunch 1 chicken brest
100g pasta or browb rice
100g of veg usualy carrots and brockli
Snack protine shake
Hand full of mixed nuts
1 servong of fruit
Dinner turky brest
80g new potato3s
100g veg
Thats pretty much what i eat every day but have aome times gone off the rails ie comfor eat witch im thinkibg may be the problem
Which body types do you think you are: endo, meso, ecto, or a mix? Metabolism slows at 30 for some individuals. What happen to your foot?
My body constanly wants to stoor faT mate its been a problem all my life foot was damaged in a car crash many years ago was rongly diognoesed turns out it was actually smashed to bits went under the knife last year coulnt walk or even stamd up for about 7 month bone grafts and metal plates and screws and shit lol now there telling me ita been set rong and its far worse than it was in the 1st place so need to have another operation fucking sucks but life goes on
Mesomorph body type maybe mixed with endo, is my hypothesis. Thanks for the history. You on meds for anything?
Was on many pain meds but swiched over to cannabis oil as the meds had me off my dish and twiching
Okay. No problem. Get some oil that has a high CBD%, so you don't have to ingest all day to be therapeutic. Cannabis oil is probably better for you, anyway.
Get some bloodwork done like Med suggested, especially the thyroid and T levels. Could be fighting a losing battle if your thyroid is messed up and have low T.
Would i get these done at the doctors
Depends, there are places that you can order your bloodwork on line from, then go to a local lab and have it drawn.
Cheers lad i will see if i can get some done and get back to yous with the results thanks for all ur help u will here from.me soon hopefuly with aome.info
Put it up. We'll see if we can make any good suggestions to get you going in the right direction.
I added a tidbit of info...
Good forum. OP seems receptive.
I see that
OP is off somewhere in his training and diet, maybe both. I would like to know his history a little more, family, social, etc. He could get full set of labs with Thyroid panel, maybe lipids, too.
Well talking of thyroods my mother has just had hers removed due to a problem with them just had the opp about a month ago
You need to stay on top of your thyroid hormone production and function...
