Since then they have dug in their heals at every turn and for the most part I supported their doing so. But in the last few years the republicans have refused to even discuss it, not even modest proposals. Things like a temporary ban due to being investigated by the FBI would be a good start.

I read a good chunk of what he did and he only ONCE tried to convert people peacefully and was driven out of Mecca when he tried. He fled to the city of Medina. But when he came back he killed anyone who did not convert and was not part of Islam. He killed anyone who was gay. He killed many people for many reasons. The book says to treat everyone great and not kill and all this but they do not mean that towards "kafir" which is a non Muslim. So if you're not a Muslim or considered impure then the rules of being treated nicely do not apply to you.
