Alright kids, I was just thinking about the old days of eroids and some of the friends that I miss and haven't seen or heard from for quite a while.
I thought it would be fun to reminisce and talk about the ghosts of eroids past.
I miss guys like Tread-m. That guy kicked some serious ass and was entertaining as hell.
Now it's your turn. Who do you miss from the old days of eroids?

and valid/not valid really wasn't the point and had little to do with you personally at all. It was more big picture stuff. Context of history is often difficult in hindsight but the board was in a particular place that it was necessary to show there was no favoritism and everybody was equal, those particular bans were less about the individuals and more about the whole, if that makes any sense
...and I noticed Ace couldn't resist popping into the peanut gallery but I really don't have the time or inclination for a pissing contest with him, even for old times sake LOL
Rest assured Ed there was never any disrespect intended, I wasn't the only one who took one for the team ;)
I will be the first to admit back then (especially the situation with Ed) I thought you went too far but after having been at this awhile now I would be a total hypocrite to get down on you about your ways when I am arguably worse at times.
Back when Vike was here the last time. It came up that we let too much go now. So for shits and grins I went back and compared like three months over 3 or 4 years and the time period when I was pretty much alone. To my complete surprise I banned more than any other year prior. Now that could be just that we have grown (Eroids)but the point is perception is not reality.
I'll have to see if I can find him

Most have been mentioned that I remember. Pank was one who I miss. He just dropped off the face of the earth so to speak. Always enjoyed what he had to say.

Pank vanished the same time sponge got bust and everyone started changing their names and never returned. Good guy.
As for Hollywood, he still makes the odd quick visit. But as a mod he was outta control imo. Way to quick to ban, he took things way to serious.

There are a handful of ppl that I confided personal things with and one of those things is that I have degrees in Psychology and Sociology so I understand how humans operate. My techiques and tactics were exactly that that have been used by Miltaries and Governments for centuries and will be continued to be used BECAUSE THEY WORK

Well to add a positive of yours during you're time as a mod. That being you never you never flinched and never waived, you always stood solid and that is a genuine quality personality trait.

I am going to have to second that. I get the feeling some of these guys just get romanticized (no homo) in their heads... Kind of Stockholm syndrome-ish. lol
I never had any issues with Hollywood and I got a kick out of him cleaning house on a daily basis. He was actually semi-friendly (no homo) to me (which means he didn't ban me).
Hell Hollywood was a good mod imo. He laid into me when I was new but I deserved it and it made me a better member
I have never had a cross word with him, we have been nothing but cordial and even friendly. But he knows I did not agree with how far he went on a few occasions. But in fairness I also have to say that after walking in his shoes I know exactly how he felt and how easy it is to just go down that road. I flirt with it myself all the time...
Hollywood was fair. You didn't do nothing wrong and u had nothing to worry about. He was right to lay into me and I have nothing but respect for him

It's would be nice to have many of the pro tags back. At one point we had some serious monsters, don't get me wrong we still do but they were abundant at one point. People have lives and fade away.
I do miss the likes of tread posting, watching viking and Hollywood moderate. There have been a few who's names slip my mind that have slowly faded away.
The forum isn't what it once was but it's due to its exposure now I think. The community has grown immensely. Some things have changed for the better some things not soo much. These days we have guys doling out advice who either don't look the part or can't post even a bicep shot to prove theyre not a papa swole.... alot of arguing these days also.
I too have grown with the site as the site has grown. It goes through its ups and downs. Ultimately it's up to the community to keep things right and work as a group....
