Sodium Hyaluronate...

ad

I have used Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan (PSGAG) in the past for rugby. It works pretty well.

Last time I ordered, which was a while ago, I ordered Hyaluronate not knowing that it is not for IM injection. It has been sitting at my house for a 6-8 months now.

My question is, any of you guys have experience with it? I have some knee pain and swelling, but again, it is not an IM injection and I am not going to fuck around doing it myself unless ya'll say it is no big deal.

How is it injected specifically, and can one do it themselves?

Cheers

Got to go right into the joint capsule. I'd advise only being done by a trained professional. Certainly way beyond my pinning skill!

Yea, I think I'll get doc to do it. It is just sitting here though, taunting me lol. I am pretty sure it is beyond my pinning skills as well Smile

I've had joint injections in shoulder, knee and hip and I don't fancy trying to do it myself one little bit. Be very ugly if you get it wrong....

No doubt. The PSGAG is pretty good stuff, too, and is cheap and easy (IM glute or quad). I really do love that stuff, especially as an older rugby player. Like I said, this stuff was just sitting around, but I am going to get a doc to inject if I do it. Does it work well for you?

Never used it personally. Had other stuff put into hip / knee about 8 or 9 years ago, (something called synvisc)

Did somewhere between very little and sod all for me!
