Hospital appointment
ad
Hi all...
So around 12 weeks ago a blood test at my gp's showed my free test was 4. I was referred to the hospital to see a specialist and was told it may be upto 18 weeks before I got an appointment. So I decided to self medicate until then, I have been on 125mg of test e weekly and feel great. Anyway I now have a date to see the specialist in 4 weeks time. My question is how long before the appointment should i stop injecting?...
Or do i just stay on and be straight with him?
Thanks in advance.

So after a second and a third test i'm ok free test is now 10
it looks like it was the ssri's that messed me up the doc said its not widely know but Sertraline has been shown to reduce testosterone. I have been off the happy pills for 4 months now.
I got my appt through and so stopped my previous cycle of 500mg Test-E 5 weeks prior. After taking my bloods the reading came back >35 nmol/L !!
I was shocked it was still so high even after 5 weeks and I was still fully shut down.
I have another appt through in 3 months time and need to have bloods taken twice before this.
If my bloods come back at less than 20 nmol/L I can also go onto Nebido.
My regular 9am bloods are around 13 nmol/L and taken again at 5pm they significantly drop to around 8 nmol/L
UK Treatment also....
Ok so all went well at my appointment doctor was great and discussed nebido as a treatment. I need to get another blood test to confirm the results. The only problem is I'm working nights this week so a 9am test, which the doc asked for will mean I will have been awake for 16 hours. How much will this skew the results?
She did think I was quite young to have such a low reading but I suspect I may have been on the low side of normal most of my adult life as I never get much in the way of facial hair we discussed this and she did seem supprised that I only shave a couple of times a week.
Will check in again when i have more news...thanks again.

Please keep us posted!
As for sleep deprivation, it sucks. It fucks with every system you have. Digestion, endocrine, immune, normal brain function, etc. Do what you gotta do, don't over think it, and sleep when you can.
Seriously though, your experiences could help lots of fellows here, so please keep adding your experiences on this thread.
I spent a few grand (US Dollars) with my doc and an endocrinologist and they didn't want to put me on TRT.
After almost seven months on eroids, I felt I was educated enough to simply take the plunge.
I started my own self TRT five weeks ago. I'm a new human. I'm starting small (100mg Test Cyp/week) but it's already made a world of difference.
I have a follow up appointment with my doc in May. I'll be 100% honest with the doc about my self dosing, and I'll be showing the doc my blood work that I'm getting between now and then.
It's all about your "goal."
My goal is to simply be healthy to take care of my family and the people I love. Having my doctor know 100% of what's going on with my health helps me achieve that goal.
So, I ask you, what's your goal? I'm guessing it's the same as mine. The more people you can have supporting you, the better, including your doc, your sweetheart, your family, your friends, and this forum. None of us are alone. We're all in this together. Welcome to eroids, brother.
I had the same type of situation. I stayed on my injections and was completely honest with my endo. Then she gave me a plan and told me to cut back to 100mg test E weekly and came back and was retested in 3 months. I was using way too much. After the 3 months at 100mg she actually gave me a prescription. Honesty is the key.
I would just be straight up with him, health is my first priority and should be yours so what you are doing is fine in my book.
Do you remember when you started the injections? Any info will help your MD, help you. Welcome to Eroids...glad you are here.
I had a similar situation in self medicating with oral steroid dianabol, the endocrinologist made me wait for 3 months (which will be early march) before another blood test as the pituatory gland will be affected that long even with the oral steroids, its been a bit hard staying off because I'm sure I'm low Test but have used the time productively to lose weight and get fitter. Just bear in mind you may get a similar response. I'd still be upfront with them BTW.
Thanks all "livewire" I think im going to go with your option I was due a shot tomorrow but will leave it and hang in there until the appointment. Just hope I don't go into meltdown mode before then.
Thanks again all
Ps the wife will be glad of the rest
For the past 2 years i have been on ssri's i came off due to feeling like a zombie. Around that time i started reading into it a little and discovered i had low t symptoms i requested a blood test and yes it was super low. Im supprised i was never tested for it before. They just stuck me on the happy pills and that was it :(
AnonDealing with your PCP I would always be open. And since he referred you to a specialist. I would be be up front with him/her as well. They need to know the truth so they can advise the best and appropriate approach to your situation. Me personally, I'd be open and honest. But, I would stop pinning now and then tell the specialist you were "self medicating" and felt better. Then let them do what they do best. Good luck and God bless
X2
bigmurphIm in the states and from some things I've read on here doctors are very different depending on where you are docs were I am I would be straight with them.
Then they would pu the treatment from there.
ManimalKingLike right now.
Ps I'm in the Uk
Then tell them the truth. We don't have the whole insurance thing to worry about. Just the poxy long wIt and crap service of our wonderful NHS.....
