Cheap Mass Building Foods...

ad

I'm terrible if i don't have meal prep. I'll end up at Jack in the Box, eating a half gallon of ranch with my fatburger. So I'm really looking at prepping some great stuff for the week, these are my plans....

Breakfast Burritos - Wheat tortilla, eggs scrambled, sausage, black beans, Mex blend cheese, Greek yogurt (plain). Prepping 9 for the week (they're a delicious snack too).

A Ginormous Lasagna - 80/20 Beef x 3lbs, cottage cheese, wheat pasta, black olives, basil, lemon pepper, fresh tomato marinara (tomatoes mashed, garlic, salt, pepper, garlic, basil and garlic), topped with mozzerella.

Meatballs, in Marinara - Turkey Meatballs, in Fresh tomato marinara. (eat with wheat bread) (5lbs for the week)

Ground/shredded chicken breast w/ pesto - Food processor shredded chicken breast, olive oil, pesto, and pita bread. (4lbs for the week)

7 Superfoods Kale blend salad w poppyseed dressing - uh, the bomb.

120g protein via shakes, 60g/shake twice a day.

1.25 gallons water daily.

1quart milk between dinner & bedtime.

BCAAs throughout the day, and intra workout.

Thoughts??

Any creative cheap recipes that are super substantial? Any snacks that you've got in your bag of tricks?

It might help if you post up your exact goals. That way the experts can help you out. I know I typically just eat whole foods when cutting or bulking as its easily measured and I always know my exact calorie count and macros. With lasagna or cassaroles or spaghetti its hard to get your calories unless you cook one serving of pasta followed by spooning out 1 serving of sauce. Not bashing you at all just letting you know what I've found to be easier for me.

Good looks Badgoat, appreciate the insight...

I'm looking to put on another 15lbs, and bring by BF from around 11 down to about 8.. I understand that cutting fat while building muscle can be a hard battle to win.. I suppose what I'll do is just focus on eating clean for the moment, and focus on that 15lbs, wait till april to start focusing on cutting my BF down...

I've never been at 8%, but from what everyone has been saying it is exhausting to walk around that low. Do you have a competition coming up? You may want to reach out to Makwa, Cat, Vike for a better explanation.

Makwa is the man. 8% is a lofty goal, but aiming high always gets me to where I can be happy. You've got some pretty legit posts on here yourself Impastable. Thankful for such a wealth of knowledge around here.

Hey man, always aim high. I'm just not sure whether walking around for extended periods of time at 8% is feasible... Unless again, it's for a competition reason. And thank you, appreciate the kind words. Good luck with your goals brother!
