Carb Cycling while Bulking
Currently laying out bulk plan for start of March (yes I know its a little late lulz) main reason being as I'm currently coming off my 2nd cycle and want to give my body time to rest before starting again, I'm even thinking of not running any compounds during bulk cycle, but haven't decided yet.
I'm 5'6 195lbs around 15% bf currently, been training for 10 years, last time I had my metabolic rate calculated was around 2400 through a bodpod machine
My question basically is, can carb cycling me utilized during a bulk cycle, to keep your metabolsim "guessing" I've always found, mainly during the diet phase, your body really becomes stagnant on the fat loss side, so can the same be said on the bulk side, my utilizing a carb cycle would you put on more muscle, then simply eating 400g of carbs per day?

dont get hung up on "carb cycling or loading" if your not competing or juicing, worry about your calories mate, focus on good fats and good clean foods. energy in energy out or fat storage, type in on google about your "3 energy systems" and the foods that accompany them, readjust and focus on that once you work out what your using the most, clean foods are the key bud.
good luck.
It makes no sense eating the same amount everyday. I wouldn't eat the same amount on leg day as any other workout day and definitely not on an off day.
right on thanks!
AnonI think it is not uncommon for diet plans to prescribe fewer carbs on non-training days, even when bulking. I have been using the following plan from T-Nation, which I kind of like. It is pretty versatile and can be used for bulking and cutting. I have a pretty high metabolism though, so I keep my calories and carbs pretty elevated.

Also, I had a BodPod measurement a couple of months ago. I asked about the TDEE calculation it provides. The operator warned me that it isn't that accurate. It just uses a standard Harris Benedict type formula based on LBM. It doesn't assess oxygen intake or anything like that. It might be a good starting point, but take it with a grain of salt. Mine, for example, underestimated my daily caloric needs.
Good luck.
