Well done for stepping up when asked to not many would do that...
Due to your age it may be a case of just reading and learning for the next few years so stick around and you will learn a lot whether it be compound or training / diet related.
As I'm sure you know, advice to under 25 is not going to happen now or anytime soon which I hope you understand.
For now keeping hitting it hard and keep it real.

Well there still no answer to below questions and plus you've been online....ummmm that's got me thinking

Hope he comes back, always been polite and respectful. I just like people to be honest, I guess I'm a little idealistic like that. Whatever the case is I'll help him sort his back out.

Well the truth arose...
Not the best way of doing things but stepped up in the end.....bless him

Agreed brother C! This young man has always been polite and respectful!

Catalyst's picture

Absolutely. We'll all gladly help the guy, He's not asking for cycle advice so it's irrelevant.

I'm saying early to mid twenties at best but good base.

Holy sh*t bro. Your shoulders look like you have NFL shoulder pads! Well done, mate!

And yeah, coming from a 40+...you sure as hell don't look like 36, but if you are....damn...

Catalyst's picture

Fella I'm just going to say this, that does not look like a 36 year olds back. I think you're young and trying to mislead people.

If I'm wrong, then enjoy the compliment about looking youthful ;)

No problem and I glad you've come clean. I've sat on judging panels, imagine how many backs I've seen! There are some parts and traits of a physique that only come from years of hard graft, one of the few advantages us old farts have ;)

Anyway, drop me a line and we'll get you on track. There's some tweaks to make to your back training, but lets get a proper look at the rest of your physique first if possible?

cd1's picture

I did think that also...
More like young 20's

You got some width there fella and as monstar pointed out...get those traps up and out, try shrugging twice a week ...Let's say on back day and shoulder day if they are 2 or so days apart.
Seated dumbbell shrugs are good because your isolated and can't add the bounce in the legs to try and cheat rep.
If there is a Smith machine in your gym then also try rear shrugs and again because your isolated.
Plus one for the width
