Should you take gear if you already have great BB genetics?
I'm 21 y/o 5'8-5'9 225 lbs and somewhere between 12-15% bf off of looks. Im not posting to boast or whatever by any means, im just looking for some solid advice. Ive been training consistently since 16 y/o and am proud of the size ive managed to put on naturally. Though I go to the most raw and serious gym in my state and constantly see monsters walking around the gym. Now for the most part i can hang with them because I naturally have big shoulders and am a wide guy; though obviously there are quite a few exceptions. Now gear is talked about openly in the gym and anyone can get their hands on some quite easily. Recently ive been talking to the bigger guys in the gym and they're telling me that i would look insane if i were to take something. Hearing that is very tempting but at the same time ive noticed there are a lot of guys in my gym that i know are on stuff and look horrible. I mean it would be awesome to blow up but at the same time i don't wanna waste something that was "god given" so to speak. I do plan on getting on stage however if i take something.
I typed this really fast, sorry guys lol

Bro, as a competitive bodybuilder, please take the advice below to heart. If you have the genetics, the sky is the limit in this industry. But, the longer you wait and the bigger and more powerful you get without hormones, the more awesome you will end up if you stick with it.
If your not benching in the 4's yet, keep going till you hit it - squat and DL - 6's. Natty. Then when you hit the sauce - you will get your "monster card" in no time.
But at 21, no bro. I don't care that some of the greats- Cutler and the like started early - great for them. You may end up more impressive than they were.
Don't short change yourself. The guys in the gym are gonna keep pushing you and pushing you and teasing you and challenging you and maybe some will even say your a sissy for not getting juice jacked right now. And, the stuff is for sale, right where you are. And, you can come to a place like this - and we won't help you cycle (no advise from us for men under 25) but you can use the archive data here and learn everything you need to know - TO MAKE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IN YOUR LIFE.
You wanna talk with a BB that's been around the block - there are a lot here including me. Send me a friend request (FR) and we can talk in PM.
As stated below. Continue to build your base and wait until you're older. You didn't mention anything about hitting a plateau so i'm guessing that you still haven't. When you do, change up the diet and exercises. Exhaust all other avenues before running your first cycle. You will be great full in the long run that you did.
Echoing above but definitely wait. There are a number of more natural and none AAS approaches you can take. Diet and consistency are going to be number one. Have you considered taking creatine? You'll get some bloat while on it but the benefits include increased strength and pumps during workouts which will help you build more muscle mass.
Build your base. I can't begin to tell you how much of a difference it means once you start cycling... A good base means that you will maintain your gains when off cyle .. a good base means that if something should happen that sidelines you .. you can maintain your gains and or get them back fairly quickly .... a good base means that having maintained your gains off cycle you keep building on what you have instead of having to do the work twice to put it back on. You train to hit the peak, you can't ever get there if you don't have a solid base from which to gain from.
They are giving bad advice (the big guys in the gym). Its easy to fall for the temptation, and it sounds like you have put in good work already....be patient. AAS will still be around in a few years, and its in your best interest to wait. You have a long way to go in this life, and some of the potential side effects of AAS are permanent....permanent.
Be smart and weigh the risks against the rewards, and consider the reduction of risk by waiting.
I would absolutely wait a few more years. You'll be thankful that you waited. The better natural base you have the more you'll "blow up" once it's time to use some gear.
Agreed wait till you are 25 also if you do come to darkside remember more is not always better use as low a dose as you can till it stops working then go up. Also never neglect your bloodwork good luck
RustyhookerYou're big naturally so push your natural limits for more years. Your natural test, hgh etc is screaming high. You are at the state us older guys wish we had still. Take pride in the fact you can hang with the big dawgs and not worry bout your boner being broke. Zits, bad attitude etc.
There's also old medical reports showing how starting too early stunts you full maximum size. You can also look at the ages of the seasoned bodybuilders and powerlifters. Those guys just start getting huge bout 30. At least the ones that last year in and year out.
Your 21 years old. Those big guys are idiots to advise you on taking gear. Train a few more years natty im sure you can grow some more. Do not cheat yourself bro, if you truly have good genetics u won't need gear unless u plan on competing even then your still to young to take anything. You can still compete in some local shows and do well natty.
