ad

Was on self prescribed trt and had heart attack can you continue with low dose Test -- had andoplactic for blocked artery---Should i tell doctor help

billsforthrills's picture

I know everyone is different but I am using 150mgs of pharma cyp and it has my test levels in the 1100's so if your gonna cruise then there are risk for even small doses of trt so get bloods and make sure you're not "cruising" w/ test levels in the 2 or 3000 range

im 47, and im a liver failure survivor, im glad your doing better and seen your doc, if its one thing we should all learn its get to a doc or an emergency room fast if your sick, and tell them your dose, they get right on a computer there and theyll zero in on some test for you, but dont ever wait it out, i almost died doing that, I THOUGHT my kidney stones came back, and put it off, it was my kidneys they were shut down, and liver, i waited till i couldn't walk and when i got there, they put me on morphine and said this will help till you pass, i went to another hospital and they did the same thing, i was to tired to take the morphine out and went into toxic schock, it was divine intervention as i layed dying in the hosp, my cell phone kept ringing, my wife answered it, it was this lady i missed her appointment i thought she was a counselor, turned out she was the head doc of liver transplant at the lahey clinic, i was med flighted to her hosp in a coma, they hooked me up to a kidney dialysis machine for 6 weeks and stopped giving me methadone, i woke up in withdrawals and recovered fully, that was 3 yrs ago, im still using steroids im strong and healthy, but my best advice to everyone is dont ever pin anything everyday, dont take recommendations for high doses of orals, i dont care what they are, i was on anavar, they say its safe, but its altered like all the other ones they are made to stay in the blood and that they do, your liver reguvinates its the only organ that can, itll take abuse, but then turn it down, let it fix itself, then do what you do ok, remember this ALL THINGS GO THROUGH YOUR LIVER, AND YOUR HEART BABY IS THE MOTOR, if you dont keep the motar running clean, she gonna break down, everything you put in your mouth goes threw your liver, all your blood goes threw your liver AND YOUR HEART, ya get it now dont ever play with your life, cyp and anavar put me down, so use dont abuse. and dont make believe your a doc, or that all the members are doctors, take advice, but get your ass to a doc if you ever have an emergency, any medical emergency i wouldnt even ask, first see a doc then tell us what happened, i have 2 unkles have massive heart attacks and die, if you get symptoms then somebody upstairs loves you, they gave you another chance lol, really so just do it right thats all, im gonna be turning it down now till spring i been running heavy and just hurt my shoulder, it aint getting better, so im gonna work out with just pct thats all, and thats another story, next time ill tell you how im sterile from steroids, thank you.
bones, and i was happy to hear your ok bro

Thank you for sharing that. Everything you said in there is true and it seems like far too many people just don't want to listen. Responsible use of aas is the only way to go. Everyone is different and everyone needs to get bloods done and use reasonable/safe amounts.
Glad you're doing well and I hope your story will help others. Best of luck!

Sorry about that brother. Yes tell your Dr. You will prescribed a statin if you tell him or not. I also forsee a visit to the cath lab in your near future for angiogram and maybe angioplasty. these are good things.
Gear can mess up your lipid profile and if you genetically predispositioned to have high lipids that can spell trouble. It time to stress on a clean diet and cardio. Also that is a very high TRT dose to be on continuously, roll it back by about half if your gonna do it at all. I know how good it feels to have super-human test levels but some times ya need to let your body reset to normal.
I hope everything turns out well Brad.

300 is not TRT -that is a cycle.
One side effect of AAS is increased red blood cell count.
The side effect of increased red blood cells is thick blood
The side effect of thick blood is the risk for blood clots.
High cholesterol is also a side effect of AAS

I'm sure you had blood work when you went in. What did the doc say?

For the short term I'd stop your "TRT" for 2 months or at least cut back your "TRT" to 100 mg every other week until your bloods are normal

Donate blood to bring down your red blood cell count.
Fish oil and cardio to lower cholesterol.

There have been some discussions about when or whether to tell your doctor due to confidentiality issues and getting insurance.

But in your case there is no question in my mind. Your situation is life-threatening.

Tell your doctor.

My cruise dose of trt is 160mg a week. I'm 32 and I feel great on that. You need to dial in your dose by getting bloods checked.

dude, sounds like you just need to get back to the basics, that glog just didnt come from eating your veggies. Total diet change I would think and stay in the gym keep that heart pumping once doc says your good to go, get some god damn cardio brother!

Engineereddisaster's picture

Holy shit Brad...
Hell yes tell your doc. 300 mg/week is pretty damn high for a cruising dose and who knows what the hell the real dosage is from the bathtub brewed shit you are self medicating with.
When you are having heart attacks that's one of those red flags that tells you are doing something wrong.
Get your shit together figure this shit out with your doc instead of turning to a bunch of 18 year old Internet bros that will parrot an answer.
Come on man you are 47 years old you should know better than this.
Dying is dying brother.

brad770's picture

OK Thanks

Hell yeah you should tell your doctor!!! I wouldn't rely on broscience if you've already had a heart attack. Have you gotten bloods? Do you know what caused the heart attack? Blocked artery...from high cholesterol?

Hell yes tell your Doctor! Did you take bloods before and during to know what kind of shape you were in and are currently in? Don't mess around with this stuff. You need to know what your levels are and he needs to know you were taking test.

Beat me to it...damn autocorrect!!! Lol

How long running 300? Did u have jaw pain, left arm pain or any other signs and symptoms of a heart attack? TRT dose should have been 50-60mg two times per week. You have a stent now?

cry_havoc's picture

You absolutely would not have been a good candidate for TRT. AAS increases blood pressure and cholesterol. Stop taking them and talk to your doctor.

brad770's picture

Ok Thanks ill get test out of system the problem is getting my own test up and running

brad770's picture

Got to er fast 3 days later the doctor said no damage to heart---I never said anything about using test because happen so fast and they said blood work was good

frankiejo's picture

you got to the doc fast. what symptoms were you having? what made you go to the doc? I am 44 and cruise at 100 mg 2x a week and I think that might be alot. I am prescribed 200 mg once a week by the doc but I split it into 2x. I feel great but bp is up a little and cholesterol was on the rise. Changed the diet and started using a high quality and high potency fish oil and coq10 also a natural garlic erb pill...... waiting to see blood work. oh and added cardio when possible.

cry_havoc's picture

This was three weeks ago. He probably isn't checking it. 200 mg per week is not a lot and in fact your actually getting a little less than that but not by much. He was on self prescribed trt and dosing himself. His doctor would not have given him a regiment of steroids with high cholesterol, a 100% blockage and high blood pressure. It just would not happen. If you are under the care of a doctor and prescribed test along with regular monitoring I should thing you are fine. But only a doctor can tell you that. There is nothing wrong with telling him you are splitting the dose. It is not abusive in any way.

frankiejo's picture

Thanks for your reply. i was hoping he would shed a little more light.....if you get back to this thread a Question or two...... I would like to blast and I was thinking I could do 400 or 600 mg of test for 8 weeks or so (too Much?). When do I need to back this off before the doc gives me another blood test?

cry_havoc's picture

Send me FR and lets talk in PM about it.
