Injection Lump? Anybody have an idea if my test leaked out?

ad

I have a pretty specific injection question. Did a glute injection with a 25 gauge 1.5 inch needle and I obviously nicked a vein going in as I had blood after the injection. Anyways, I had no blood on the draw back either. I only injected 1 ML also.

Anyways, my question is that right after I removed the needle I noticed I had a small lump (Think like when you get a big pimple, or ant bite) where the needle was. Never had that before as usually my injects I get 0 bleeding after an injection and I never get a bump where I injected. ( I have bled before though)

Kind of had me wonder if that bump was simply blood filling up from nicking the vein? (As it went away or considerably when I put pressure on it and massaged to stop bleeding) or if that was somehow the liquid I injected? (I admit I am not a nurse but I cannot see that much liquid going to the surface on only a 1 ML inject with a 25 gauge needle that is 1.5 inch long.

If anyone wonders I have done 3 cycles before just never had that happen. I also dont have any pain in that area and as I type this the bump is pretty much smoothed out now (After about 15 mins). Like I said just has me wondering if I lost that juice or if that was blood or what it is?

It was most likely blood buddy. Happens from time to time. As long as you're pain free, inject correctly (z-track method does wonders), and aren't experiencing any swelling, just go about your day.

it was just blood from a capillary. not your gear.

Bleeding under the skin is what caused your lump. Next time put some pressure on the bleed. This will cause the blood to clot and stop the bleeding under the skin.

if it's still in there it'll be absorbed one way or another.
