+ 1 Blood Pressure before and during cycle--yikes!

ad

The numbers before cycle [92/67] weren't the best either because the pulse pressure (the difference between the two numbers) was low.
But it's gotten way higher than its ever been in 51 years. Its normally approximately 105/60.
The lower numbers were from 6 months ago.
The higher numbers are two weeks after about 7 weeks on Test Enanthate 60"mg/week, Aromasin 6.25mg/day and Raloxifene 6omg/day (for three weeks previous to this test.
I took blood pressure on cheesy machine in pharmacy waiting areas, but did it at three different pharmacies several times each so this is a good average of them all.
Last time at doctors office it was even higher but was there for injury and a bit agitated.
P.S.: I haven't done a lick of cardio while on cycle cuz it's very tough for me to gain weight when I do cardio at any time.

If this post compels you to take care of your health, that's cool.

The older I get, the worse my BP gets when I'm using gear. My BP has always been normal/high, but it jumps quite a bit, even on TRT doses. I tried every natural remedy known and nothing made any significant difference. I went to the doctor and got on a super low dose of BP meds (I'm on TRT). Now my BP is back to normal and I have no worries. Sometimes this is just a function of age.

Yeah vhman, I'm with you on this.
One of the best things I ever learned was in a college nutritional course.'the instructor taught us how to read labels for clues of bullshit, look for credentials by authors of fitness and nutrition articles, discern the difference between empirical scientific evidence and anecdotal evidence; science and pseudoscience, magical thinking and unprovable words ("all natural!")...
I short, how to be a skeptical thinker.
When it concerns issues of health, I start with the doctor; not at the vitamin store or the hippy health food stores "homeopathic" section.

I'm with you as well.
I do know that some folks here have had luck lowering their BP with apple cider vinegar and beet root, as well as a few others. I'm not against trying some these (I did), but none worked for me.
I'm very glad I went to the doctor and I know that I'm in good health now. It's not ever worth risking your health by not going or waiting too long.

Yup, thats the way it is. I did a Test P/DECA cycle and my blood presure went from 108/70 to 138/80.

Thanks Higg!

Normal range is 120/80 anyways bud.. You have no worries on the high end BUT the low rate at 92/67 is extremely low. We are the same age and I was as high as 160/105 at one point due to EQ. I take a simple HBP pill daily and its all under control now days.. Peace out..

PoundForPound's picture

Until your next cycle, eh?
heh heh heh...

PoundForPound's picture

Right on, mobman.
I'm going to go to the doc this week.
I'm not interested in fucking around with my health anymore.
My pulse is also way higher than ever.

mobman702's picture

Ur doctor should have u under control bud.. As we get older, this shit comes around most easier then the good ole days of being 25 lol... My pulse rate was high as well but the HBP pill along with me no longer on cycle and not using EQ has me ticking normal.. Until my next cycle though.. HaHaHa..

Rusty, I drink over a gallon of water daily. I'm pretty dry nonetheless, it's a trip. I also have something called Crohn's Disease which flushes me out like a muther fucker!
Thanks bro!

PoundForPound's picture

Thanks bro. Gluten's bit different; that's for Celiac Sprue (or Gluten Enteropathy) sufferers. I've had Crohn's for 18 years. I had $1,000,000 worth of surgery in late nineties with the shit bag on and off, peritonitis, and removal of my entire large intestine and part of the small. After an adjustment period, I'm way better after the surgeries. But calories and water are always tough to get enough of in me. It hasn't really changed the composition of my physique. People love to say, "No wonder you're so lean!" when I tell them about it, but I've always been lean as hell with a 28" waist. Always.
What it has done is made it a bitch to get enough calories in me because lots of things that are healthy for others just give me the fucking runs like I've got the stomach flu for life.
It's all good now. You can get used to anything after long enough. But I miss the days when I could just lift and eat fruits and vegetables all day and get to 195 lbs cuz now I'm trying to get to merely 175!

Wow man, thats really inspirational that you're kicking so much ass after such a rough road. Have you ever heard of John Meadows? He's a bodybuilder as well as an extremely knowledgeable guy when it comes to almost everything health and bodybuilding related. He had a serious set of surgeries where they removed a large part of his intestines as well. I know that he needs to take in extra sodium in his diet because its harder for him to absorb it from what was taken out in surgery. Maybe this could be playing a role in blood pressure for you. I don't know the science behind it, but i know sodium intake fluctuations can be harder on blood pressure. Something you might wanna look into.

What a cool reply.
I've never heard of Meadows but I appreciate the info. I'll definitely look him up--thanks

Thanks, good info and that's why I dig this. It's a bit of a chore mining through the search results but you've helped to narrow it down. I'm on it!
