My fitness journy
When I started lifting weights, i did full body workout 3-4 times a week for about 2 years. Then i transitioned into upper/ lower body for 1 year. Then i went into splits chest-tris, back-bis, legs, and shoulders-foreams once a week. Afterwards started the Arnold 3 days program for beginners, which went chest/back, arms, and legs twice a week. I've read many books about bodybuilding which includes become a supple leopard, Mark Rippetoe's training programs, and Arnies encyclopedic. Since the beginning I've noticed that my body likes volume and i probably spent around 2-3hrs at the gym. Now i train every body part twice a week with volume and pyramid about 5 sets increasing weight ever set. So, i've been lifting for more than 8 years now.
I want to hear and learn from others what their methods are and what they are doing to keep the gains coming. I feel like I've overused this blueprint of mines and need to change it. Keep in mind i'm still a virgin.

I get bored of routines very easily and always find myself trying something new if not just to appease my boredom let alone target some part of my physique or strength. To me, I feel the same routine for a year would make me want to blow my brains out. I really enjoy challenging routines, once it becomes "routine" for me I usually want something better or more difficult.
Mark Rippetoe was also one of my first go to sources. I really enjoy the simplicity of his methods as well as the simplistic explanation of the physics of particular movements.
I myself find I grow much better with higher volumes. I tend to flip flop between routines and schemes I know work well for me but am willing to try anything just for fun and curiosity. If I cut weight its definitely full body/heavy routines for me. Keeps it short and the intensity high while in a deficit -- long drawn out workouts while low carbing for me makes me a very grumpy person.
A virgin? To gear I suppose you mean?
yes, a virgin to gear. I'm aiming for a frank zane look with a little bit of more muscle.
