What's on TV?

ad

I'm sure this has been posted about and touched on before, but my wife and I are always looking for new good shows to watch so I turn to my eroids brothers for some advice.

As my Avi would clearly indicate, I'm a huge Sons of Anarchy fan. Best show I have ever seen in my opinion. What about ya'll???

brandoc84's picture

The 2 best cable shows right now are Game of Thrones ( HBO), If youre into the whole King Arthur medieval times shows and Boardwalk Empire ( HBO, Mark Walhberg and Martin Scorsese are both producers ) if you like Organized crime shows . IMO hands down the 2 best.

scoobydoo's picture

Probably nothing you'd be interested in,but The Big Bang Theory has got to be the funniest show I've ever watched.

Pale's picture

I have tried to watch that show several times, but I just don't get it I guess.

awagz's picture

While im not a fan of sit-coms, I will say I do agree I find that show to be pretty damn funny.

Loved Spartacus great show

Pale's picture

I know they recently removed it from Netflix but if you have never watched the newer version of Battlestar Galactica that show was deep. I will admit that they really blew the ending but it was awesome getting there.

I am sure you are already watching Vikings. I am also a huge fan of The Walking Dead.

awagz's picture

Readytokillit down bottom on the page suggested Vikings I'm going to check that one out, sounds interesting for sure

With Vikings, they try to be historically accurate while keeping it entertaining. They put in a lot of effort into the sets. It definitely will give you some new perspectives on things.

If you have Netflix there are tons of great shows. I've been watching Peaky Blinders which is great. Happy Valley was pretty good as well. Rectify is cool and so is Top of the Lake. Southcliff was okay as well. I like Lomgmire and Justified a lot.

awagz's picture

Yes def have Netflix, funny thing is I have never heard of ANY of those! I will check then out though, the beauty of Internet streaming is getting to start every series from episode one as if u were there from the start

They're all worth a look. Most of them are BBC shows and are excellent.
Justified and Longmire are US shows and are fantastic. Can't go wrong with any of them.

Hands down sons of anarchy! Next is probably moonshiners, shark tank, gold rush, the black list "which doesn't come back on for a few months I think" duck dynasty of course.

rolltide3's picture

If u have netflix. Breaking bad, walking dead,American horror story just so u can catch up to the series(breaking bad is over). Series like gold rush, shark tank, curse of oak island don't watch much live tv whoever invented Dvr is the shit lol

awagz's picture

I have seen all of breaking bad, and we are actually just finishing season two of walking dead now. That is one of those shows that I put off watching for a whole just because I'm not a zombie fan, however I find the show to be pretty intelligently written and well acted, and the zombies are not the focus like I would have guessed.

What's curse of oak island?

TWD will really have you questioning how people are by the time you catch up to us in season 5. You could substitute zombie apocalypse for almost anything. The zombies are not the real threat, the other survivors are..

awagz's picture

Yes it seems like it has good character development and is well written so far from what I've seen. Makes me wonder how I put this on off for so long

Curse of oak island is on history channel. It's some guys trying to get to the bottom of the money pit.if u don't know what the money pit is it's an island in nova Scotia that legend says has the ark of the convent and a huge gold treasure. Back in the 1800 people discover the money pit and dug down 90 feet every ten feet had a wooden platform when they got down to 90 feet they hit booby traps which was tunnels that filled the hole up with sea water and flooded it. Sounds fake but it's real and it's crazy shit google the money pit it will blow your mind. Six people have died so far trying to get to the bottom but no can. It's so well constructed with booby traps they still can't get to the bottom with all are technology. They think it was build by the knights templar or Spanish pirates round 1200 ta 1600s. They have found some of the flood tunnels and they filled them up with coconut fibers so the tunnel couldn't get blocked by debris and the nearest place that has coconut is ten thousand miles awY

rolltide3's picture

Really so what's at the bottom? Let's here your thoeries

rolltide3's picture

Nerds in now haven't u heard lol hopefully we will.find out one day

rolltide3's picture

Well I'm kinda leaning towards Spanish pirates cause they have found those Spanish coins on the island but the preview of the next show has them finding a coin and the guy says it looks like a templar cross on it. Love that stuff if I could I'd go and try to get to the bottom. There so many theories. I think it would be amazing if it was like the ark of the convent and religious artifacts.

awagz's picture

I will definitely look into that it sounds extremely interesting....
