+ 11 Who should/shouldn't be on AAS?
You all have an opinion. Don't shy away now. In a thread written by IronBlonde yesterday about the ladies, it got me thinking about this again. Aside from the ppl who just flat out don't want to put in the work and think AAS is the answer to a god like body with no effort, who should or shouldn't use AAS?
The bodybuilders
So most of the time when someone questions another's use of gear it's a bodybuilder questioning it. The bodybuilders preach diet and training. Reaching natural potential. Yes yes and yes ,...if the person is a bodybuilder. They need to dial in their diet , train relentlessly completely natural for as long as it takes to meet their potential etc. Fine, I get it. I agree. I don't want to see anyone ruining their endocrine system with premature use and not taking the proper precautions. So, asking the individual their goals is first and foremost IMO.
The athletes
Now, this one is tricky. There will be ppl claiming to be athletes who simply are not. But they easily get weeded out down the line. Let's talk about a fighter for instance. Something brought up in the thread I mentioned earlier raised the point "the athlete knows what they have to do in terms of proper nutrition ,AAS etc." Really? Do you know what proper nutrition for a fighter is? Have you ever set foot in a ring? Fuck, I bet half of the ppl with the opinions couldn't hit a heavy bag for 1:00 straight without absolutely collapsing. Do you know why? We do! We absolutely LOAD UP ON CARBS! High protein ,high fat, high carb diets. Something the stage ready bodybuilder would be freaking about. Then do you know what we do? Let's say I am fighting at light heavyweight (175lbs) and I'm walking around ,training at 202lbs. Guess what I have to do? The next week or 2 of my life is going to suck big fat elephant balls. I have to cut weight for the weigh in. That means starving myself. Do you think I shouldn't be on AAS because I am not eating properly? Fuck you! I'm going to need the performance enhancement now more than ever. You had better believe my opponent is gona be ready to take my head off. So do I just stop using my halo, or Tren because you think I don't need to be on it because my natural potential hasn't been reached? Guess what, you can take that opinion and jam it straight up your ass ,...sideways! Let someone tell me they don't think I should be on AAS because I'm not a bodybuilder when they not only haven't set foot in my shoes, but would get their big asses handed to them if they tried. Sometimes they will even say "omg you are doing it wrong. Who told you to cycle that way? Where did you hear that? That's just wrong! You have no knowledge of AAS." STFU! You don't have the faintest clue how to cycle properly if you were an endurance athlete. My progress can't be assessed by looking in a mirror. Fuckin dip shit! Ok, I got a little emotional about that one. But you get the point.
Fitness models
I don't know of any and don't know what it takes to be one but I'm giving an honorable mention. I suspect they use traditional cycles in short bursts to achieve a chiseled look.
Kids
This one is the tricky one. NOBODY on this site condones the use of AAS in kids. But what about when the kid is in his early 20's, has a fantastic physique, has clearly put in work , and already has experience on stage? Does that mean it's ok? I'm asking sincerely.
This is a debate amongst the moderators and we are seeking a resolution. I want to hear what you have to say. What if they claim to be an athlete, what is the guideline in that case to give advice or not? I'm curious on your
opinions.
Trt
There are the guys who were not feeling so hot, climbing up in age and put on Trt by their doc. They come here to learn about AAS. They discover the things the doctor isn't gona tell them. Maybe they like what they are experiencing and want to venture into new compounds to achieve that god like body. Is that ok? Or because they aren't a friggen bodybuilder they shouldn't be on either? You see the pattern here?
Muscle wasting disease
Now I would hope that nobody is ignorant enough to say these guys/gals shouldn't be on AAS. Clearly they need it. Maybe here to learn more as the Trt guys are. Or maybe to go further and gain that god like physique with cycling. So,....where do we stand? Because a lot of ppl have a lot to say. I'm curious who stands up here.
Power lifters (sorry grrrl)
Now what about these guys/gals? They almost always look "sub par" according to bodybuilding standards. Sometimes they even look fat and out of shape when in reality they would twist a bodybuilder up like a pretzel and catch the punch of the mighty boxer crushing his hand with a squeeze of his grip. They surely put in the work and have every right to use whatever means they can to gain an edge in training. Do they not?
Mostly I want to get an idea of what everyone thinks. Don't hold back. It won't be held against you no matter your view. Give your opinion. It will help the community grow. I'll keep my aggression toward bias bodybuilders to myself. For some reason it's always a bodybuilder with something to say. This is NOT A BODYBUILDING WEBSITE! Get it?
LET ME ADD, i don't have anything against bodybuilders (other than the popular opinion on AAS). Some of my favorite ppl are bodybuilders. Shit all my partners are bodybuilders. Well Trenabolic and big bro King Viking are. Noid is more like me I think. Just doin the damn thing. So I have plenty of ppl here who are bodybuilders that I am fond of. Great guys/gals and I have nothing against them. I have something against the ones who feel superior to others. Acting superior is usually as sign of deep rooted feelings of inferiority! Just sayin. Psych 101!

Well the issues that have been brought to my attention were very sensitive and I can see why they wouldn't want to speak out. I'll give you an example of one of them. Women taking AAS at all, ever! This person feels it's just as bad as giving a kid advice when you give women advice. Injecting male hormones to achieve a manly body is "unnatural".
I gave him my take on it which is pretty much personal choice. If a grown ass woman wants 18" guns who am I to tell her that's ridiculous? His perspective is kind of sexist. Well no it's completely sexist but I said all opinions welcome.
I'm not looking forward to these responses from the ladies. I think they'd make him cry if we were all in a room together right now. I do want him to see how his views effect ppl tho , so don't hold back.
AnonWell I'll take it even further. Try this on for size bro.
Anyone who is not using Tesosterone or any AAS or HGH for non health related reasons and not prescribed by an MD has zero business using these hormones.
Vanity is vanity. Premature death is premature death.
Well there it is. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves:)
Lmao I'm playing devils advocate here in case anyone thinks I'm 100% serious. It's more like 17.99467% serious.
fine .. lets play ..
Before I started cycling .. I was on hormone replacement .. I was making ZERO estrogen. I was taking estradiol.. progesterone and a monster dose of thyroid. Since I have been cycling .. I am off all hormone related meds...
so manly with some muscles or a pill popping biatch ...lol.. you know which one I picked.
Rustyhooker"manly" lmao! Most guys can't handle a pretty lady. They get jealous and insecure. Pissed every time anyone looks or flirts. You combine pretty with confidence and power and the margin narrows. Women bosses, doctors, lawyers etc. Well above the egocentric males abilities.
AnonAnd quit with that manly talk. There's nothing manly about you except you handle yourself like a Boss and to me that's equally sexy when You do it:)
AnonWhich would put you in the health related category like me. Cool you agree:) See this is easy lol
Lmao ..
AnonUr making me smile. I may have started AAS for trt but I've always been one to push his body to look good and be powerful. I can't remember the last time I was ever the small guy. Maybe the shorter guy 5'10 but I was born to be wide and strong. Once I got my mojo back from trt it was on. I'd never give up my cruise blast now. As long as I manage my overall health and use my brain I'll be using gear til the dr says stop or else. But the great part about that is what I've learned here from people like you and Viking and tread and so many others. I know how to stay healthy and cycle safe. You were my very first teacher babygirl. Gave me my name. I can't thank you enough for being who you are. You're Hall of Fame darling:)
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkI m very proud of you .. you have come so far. And in time the student becomes the teacher.
I am certainly pushing the envelope .. but those numbers keep calling my name.. and as long as I can don't lose my girrrlish figure I will keep reaching for them
Let's turn the tables a bit, men, and be honest with ourselves. Perfectly honest. Don't need to respond, just think and be true to yourself.
If there was a sport out there, where to excel at it, it would require taking female hormones, would you do it? Would you risk the possible side effects?
I have asked this question to hundreds of men over the years and the answer is always the same. And, the answer is lightening fast.
So, I don't know what to even call this - it's not a double standard - it's something - don't know what.
And, don't start in with the transgender crowd as a cover - I'm asking men that are happy with their gender.
Ummm, no! I cried enough over the feed the children commercials in my pre AI days
So, this is interesting. There are women in the world that are willing to take androgens understanding they could be irreversibly masculinized by them but I have yet to meet any man that would be willing to take estrogens understanding he could be irreversibly feminized by them. Do human beings as a whole place a higher value on masculine traits? Doesn't make sense at all.
RustyhookerSPCA commercial..... :(
As soon as I hear that chicks voice I am looking for the remote. I can't deal with them commercials..
lol clomid+spca commericals=me donating my 60 cents a day lol.
RustyhookerSame here. Love my dogs!
AnonEveryone is entitled to their own opinion and I have neither the time nor the inclination to change anyone's mind- however- if he is against AAS in women because it's "unnatural", couldn't the same be said for breast implants, butt implants, Botox, etc which are all "unnatural" and used to attain a aesthetic ideal? Just some food for thought.
Exactly.
The same could be said about a 260lb 10%bf male, it's also unnatural really. I'm unnatural. Women don't all find my physique attractive, to be honest I don't care as long as my wife does!
It would be a boring world if we all liked exactly the same things......
Excellent point! I seriously doubt you believe that these ppl have the mental capacity to handle anything other than their own views. Let alone a woman who can kick their ass, beat them at chess and look good doin it. I didn't expect any real answers to this. I was hoping nobody would entertain it. But I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand the post. Either way I DONT GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE ENTITLED TO!
:-)
AnonI'd like to add one more thing, and then I'm done... Sorry but I just have to get this out. Not every woman is concerned with how they are viewed by every single man. Many women are, and many women are constantly making decisions about their bodies, their clothing, their hair color, etc. in an effort to make themselves more attractive to men. I view this as an insecurity... They are too afraid to be THEMSELVES. I have become secure enough in myself that I am willing to go against the grain- against what is recommended or "natural" to build something I love. I do not lift weights to become more attractive to the opposite sex, I do it because I enjoy each and every minute of it. You think I'm "manly"? It doesn't hurt my feelings. I won't lose sleep. I won't change who I am so that you find me "hot," "sexy," etc. I do, however, pity your inability to look at a woman and value her for anything other than what YOU personally deem as attractive. Open your eyes, bro. There's a whole world out there, that id be willing to bet that you are incapable of appreciating.
bravo nice read there
I swear I didn't even think anyone would entertain this bullshit. It isn't even worthy of explanation. Some back woods old school hill billy mindset wouldn't get a rise out of me. Maybe an LOL, that's about it.
I'll freely admit I was a little fearful of introducing my wife to AAS. But seeing how impressive her hard work shows in combination with diet and AAS I am okay with it. She knows if something is wrong, she is not afraid to reach out to Grrl via PM when she needs to. If her voice deepened a little or her lady parts changed a little I am still going to love her just as much as I did before either of us started. And she looks fantastic!
Damn I was gunna say the same thing about beast implants, but I was trying to stay neutral. You hit the nail on its head though.
That fucker is entitled to his opinion, opinions are like assholes! Why he would go to you via pm with this is besides me.
who ever it is entitled to their opinion and in truth I for one probably wouldn't respond ..except to post some photos which are will obviously show that I am in no way "manly" .. the only thing I might respond to is if the opinion takes on a nasty tone and becomes demeaning .... in fact ... I ll go repost those photos again and you all can decide if I look 'manly"
Yo bro, that wig was off the hook! You had me goin. Looked like a chic for a min. Lol ;-P
You know ppl are intimidated by a strong woman. I'm surprised this got to you.
Well now I was told,..
"see what I mean? I can't post that shit without a bunch of feelings and estrogen clouding ppls masculine voices. I'm not interested in arguing over it. Sorry to even bring it up"
I asked them to stand up but they won't. I told them they didn't have to originally so I'm going to make them now. Ohh well.
Whomever said this, in a private PM no less is a pussy period. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but hiding your opinion behind someone else is just LAME.
As for women and steroid use, the idea that we will become "manly" is fucking stupid. Do you know how hard it would be for us to look like dudes? It would require a TON of gear. And a lifetime of hard work. I've been kind of quiet about it, but I've been running 10mg of test prop eod for about 6 weeks maybe longer. I love it, and I've yet to sprout a penis. However if I did grow one it would be far superior to whatever this anonymous dude is packing...
Are there female BB's who look like men? Yes. It didn't happen over night and I guarantee they worked very hard to achieve that look. People seem to think steroids make you huge, you pin one day and wake up different the next. That's not how it works folks. With thought out responsible use, you can control everything and even have zero sides.
He is a "them" apparently. The above isn't exactly accurate but I understand the point. They are right in their chemistry. It wouldn't take as much gear as you think to build a lot of lean mass on a female frame. Relatively low doses of any AAS are still huge surges in a woman's natural level. But it doesn't mean they will look like men. It will differ person to person.
I was told I failed to represent their point more clearly. So they were invited to come and post it themselves. Either way, you're missing the point as are the ppl who think women shouldn't be on AAS. It doesn't matter who has what opinion. It's a matter of personal choice among responsible adults. That's it! Should be the end of the discussion. So their strong negative opinion toward these women as well as yours toward them mean little in the grand scheme of things. It like arguing music or food. If I say The beetles are the greatest of all time and you say otherwise, who is right? Exactly! So I was hoping that there wouldn't be a big pissing match about it but an open dialogue to try and see things from the others perspective so that maybe you could meet in the middle. But it hasn't gone that way and the only thing now is feeling pity. I personally think it's shallow to think that way about the opposite sex and those who do are seriously misguided. I helped and watched Bellona through a hand full of cycles including some harder heavier androgens than anavar. When grrrl first had the women's section made up, aside from her, belle was the first to post a testosterone cycle and has since run a few more. It been 3 years and she looks just as feminine now as she did then. Just tight and hard framed. More of a fitness model physique. So that whole concept of turning into a man is all bullshit. Any one with half a brain knows that. It's about being responsible and working hard for what you want. I was hoping someone would open their eyes instead of just throw Fits of anger. But I get it.
RustyhookerMy lady friend ran prop just like you. She killed it in the gym. Perfect meals. Fully changed her body thru hard deficated work. It wasn't overnight. Took her over a year. Looks great now in swimwear.
RustyhookerI keep reading this daily. It's all about longevity and commitment. We've got a nice group of old dudes on here that have spent their lifetime lifting. But spread out the old dudes into the general masses here or any gym and you've got a super low percentage. Many young guys came outta highschool right into sports using or ended up using. 90%+ were fat burnouts before 30 years old. Trt patients. Beer and TV. One buddy went to Olympia couple times. My other buddy just hit nationals. Both over 35. Anyone thats jazzed up thinking it's a smooth easy ride just look around your gym. How many rocked out old dudes are there?
Longevity. Your mistakes, goals and accomplishments are for life
X2. Like we've said so many times before, it's a marathon not a sprint.
I keep getting people who want to bring up different points on this debate but even to I assure them they won't have to worry about being judged (as long as they don't come in here with a chip on their shoulder), they still feel like it's a bad idea because when this thread has long died down ,they'll still be members and people won't forget the things they said. So later they post something and out of left field will come someone with an attitude and bring up the shit they said here. Ok ,..fair enough! But if you don't stand up and speak your mind , how do you expect to get anywhere? I mean it's not like anyone is gona reach across the screen and choke you. It's just words on a screen. Yeah they can hurt but at the end of the day, does it really matter? So if you want to add to this them pm me about it and I'll post it for discussion. If not, the thread dies along with your view. This is your community. You want to see something happen here? Make it happen.
My views on hormones are very liberal. If I had a son who was a young adult, I would feel much more comfortable with him taking a cycle of testosterone rather then doing what a lot of college aged kids do -- going out to raves getting high on ecstasy, or hanging out with friends doing coke/meth on the weekends, or going out and getting shit faced several nights a week. Just saying.
RustyhookerValid points. My kids though, I'd train em hardcore natty style first. Same advice given in forums. Keep em busy rather than bath salts and oxy's.

Lol. I don't even wana know
I have been following this thread for days and I feel as though I have something to add that could be taken into consideration. As the MODS obviously have there hands full with an important decision to make. I think it's safe to say that the general consensus speaks for itself amongst most if not all. No AAS advice/information given to anyone under 25 yrs of age and that's that! Well, I'm probably going to get flamed but I beg to differ with that a bit. First and foremost, I do agree that 18-21 is too young to introduce your body to AAS for the simple fact alone that you are still underdeveloped and will potentially do yourself more harm than good. If AAS is something you are SERIOUSLY considering, this should be the period of time where you are preparing and self-educating. Knowledge is power! Put in the work. Learn about proper diet, training plans and more importantly, the RISKS AND CONSEQUENCES as opposed to the rewards you think you already know. AAS is not a joke nor is it a "magic bullet." Typically speaking, you think you can get on a cycle, do nothing else, "blow up" and look great for that hot chic you wanted who never noticed you before or no longer get picked on/pushed around for the "skinny kid" syndrome. Well IM sorry to inform you but AAS doesn't work that way. Trust me, I know this first hand from experience. You could see minimal to no results all the while of destroying your endocrine system so early in age for what? If you are SERIOUSLY considering the use of AAS, than use this time wisely. AAS is merely the tip of the iceberg. You are not only choosing to use it, more so you are choosing or should be choosing a lifestyle and everything that comes with it. Put in the effort, self-educate and do YOUR OWN homework. All good things come to those who wait...
Now that that's been said, there is a grey area for me... 22-24 yrs of age. And this is what I may get flamed for but what makes them any different than someone who is 25? They could very well be someone who I described above who made the effort and took the time to do their homework. Have several years of knowledge under their belt. Still not enough of course. As we all know we still learn something new everyday. Have been lifting/dieting/training and are finally ready to introduce their first cycle. This is a mature respectful individual who obviously takes things seriously. Not some cocky snot as earlier introduced in this thread that thinks the world owes him something. But he is 22,23,24. Do you turn your head to him solely because of a number? Do you tell him well you are only 24 just wait another year? Point being, I don't see a significant difference from 22-25 if he has done all the necessary "footwork" prior to leading up until this moment IMO. So I ask, why put an actual "number" on it? And when I say this, I am specifically referring to ages 22-24. Not to be confused with anyone 18-21 which has already been agreed upon by most if not all as being way to young. IMO whether you are 22,23 or 24, I feel it depends upon the individual itself and their "case" whatever that may be, whether IM willing to give advice or not. The idea of an actual number "25" determining whether one will give advice/information could make way for more issues to come and I think the MODS already have enough to do without playing "detective" too. Do we forget that we are on the internet? Anyone can say or be anything they want to. What is it for anyone to lie about there age because they now know Eroids has a "25" cutoff age limitation for any general information? So here we are on the internet giving a presumed 28yr old advice about PCT when he is really 23. Would you have given him that information had you known? No, because he is simply 23. It doesn't matter whether or not he is mature, articulate, respectful, self-educated, knowledgable and has his first cycle already under his belt doing everything right. The fact alone that he is 23 makes all the difference. With all due respect and not to offend anyone, I just don't agree. My nephew is 29yrs old, 5'10", about 165. He ran a Test E cycle wrong. Wasn't consistent with his shots. Joined a gym and went twice. Poor diet. Ate whatever he wanted. And no knowledge whatsoever of AAS. I warned him as well as told him that he had no business using. He just wanted to "get big" and look good he said. I love my nephew dearly but how stupid are you? If he joined Eroids, would you give him advice simply because he is 29? As far as I'm concerned, 29 or not, he needs to get his head outta his ass. Someone like him has no business using AAS where as a 23yr old could run circles around him all because he took the time when he was 18,19 etc... to prepare for something he was serious about to use later in life but we will not give him the time of day because he's 23. However, will advise someone like my nephew because he's 29. Isn't age just a number? Don't get me wrong, I completely understand and agree upon how important it is in this particular case. However, there is a fine line between one who is 22-24 with everything in order versus one who is 25 with everything in order who will simply get the advice/information he seeks solely because of a number. Just some food for thought and my 2cents....
BooooooM!!..... You OK babe :))
Hey Vike, been awhile..... Glad to see there's still some REAL MEN around! How's it going? I'm fine thank you, no worries. Life is good! ;-)
AnonOne of the best posts in this entire thread.
