Awkward convos about lifting w/ non lifters... Post yours!

ad

As much as I am a narcissistic attention whore there are sometimes when I feel so wierd when people give me compliments. This younger guy comes up to me at work while I'm microwaving my meal and he's like dude you're huge what do you bench and everyone is staring at me. If I answer the question with whatever number whether it's 200 or 500lbs they don't understand how heavy it is so they go "oh wow that's crazy." And I feel like an awkward meathead. And when someone asks me a question about advice on lifting or diet I tell them the actual answer which is most likely not what they wanted to hear and they're like "oh, cool man thanks." And try to end the convo ASAP. Anyone know how awkward this feels?

Only time I've had it happen is on military bases to be honest always some dude that wants to know how he can get big... Then you tell them to train hard and eat right, then they look puzzled like they expected you hook them up with juice or some shit.... I once told a guy to hold his shit for 3 months and eat nothing but won ton soup

No one ever approaches me and asks me anything about if I work out or not; I guess I'm not an approachable looking person. Do you think the huge scar on my head and broken nose scares people away? Although one younger guy at my gym I approached him because for the past 6 months the kid has been really busting his ass and looked like he was shrinking. I asked him how much he eats and he said mostly salads. SALADS??? I told him the only thing he is gonna grow is a mangina so I put him on a fast diet plan. Fast forward 3 weeks now he's fkn gained 8 pounds lol. Back to the OP as to my rambling I asked him why he never came and asked me for a spot or any help at all and he said he was scared to. I'm a fkn pussycat.

Every time a female friend tells me how, "lucky" I am to have a nice ass. Luck has nothing to do with it, but when I explain to them that I workout they always tell me they do cardio too.

When someone asks how much I bench I tell them it's not about how much you can bench, it's about how much you look like you can bench. Either way my bench is weak and so is my chest lol. Work in progress.

Bro, there's nothing awkward about being a meathead. I think you just have not grown into the role. Keep lifting until you achieve Monster status and then see what reaction you get. LOL
