shoulder/arm pain....tendonitis?

ad

So the last couple weeks I've been getting this pain only with pressing exercises. It started kinda in the rear delt area and now its the whole shoulder (burning sensation in just the shoulder) and it radiates down the side of my bicep into the ditch between my forearm and bicep. Been takin glucosamine and its offerd some relief. Just curious as if anyone has had anything similar or what not and what might help. Funny thing is that when I load up the weight it feels better its when I unload that I feel it and somedays it just throbs all day (shoulder). Probably gonna just take some time off till things are better just lookin for some input. Thanks in advance!

Not trying to worry you, but the pain radiating down the bicep into the top of the forearm can be associated with a rotator cuff tear as well. I get little pain in the actual shoulder joint, but a sharp stabbing pain like you described and mine is from a cuff tear fixed, (I hope), for the second time surgically a couple of weeks ago.

When I first damaged it a couple of years ago, I dismissed it as tendinitis etc, 2 surgeries later... Get it checked fella.

Yeah I seen you post about that a few times now that I think about it. Im actually setting up an appointment today to try and figure out whats goin on. I woke up and its throbbing, cant take it anymore.

Worth making sure bruv, hopefully nothing to get excited about. I was a dick and left it, kept training, "it'll go away etc".

Better to be cautious.

Ya i had tendonitis in my shoulder and the pain was in my rear delt and also in the front where the delt connects to the upper pec. It sucked i hope you dont have it because it never goes away. It just goes though periods of flair ups and then calms down. I had to take 3 months off from upper body i have it in both shoulders. Mine would radiate down my arm a little. But typically pain that radiates insinuates nerve problems.

Yeah I've been diggin around and read a few things about nerve problems and what not. Definitely aggravating as hell brotha. Ill start doin the ice/heat treatment see if it offers some relief. Talked to a trainer at the gym the other day about to see if he had any ideas and of course he says "tried deca?" No thanks dude...lol....ill take 400mg ibuprofen here and there it helps

Here's my problem, I dont have a regular "doc" I've been through so many in the last couple years. Everytime I go in for an issue its like they think im shopping for pain meds. Or they dont even really try to address whats goin on and just write a prescription for an anti inflammatory and send me on my way. So I just avoid them all together

Yea I know how you feel, but anti inflams are the best med for tendinitis. Docs do suck but I just went straight to an ortho cause my insurance didn't need a referral. I'd just take it easy for a few weeks then go easy into it again
