+ 5 Negging Reviews - Fanboys????
Noticed quite a few of these lately where a respectable review has been written, albeit not a positive review for the source, then negative karma associated to the review. I'm guessing its fanboy activity.
"My source sells FIRE and you said it's bunk. I'm negging you" - That's how imagine the train of thought for most of these goes.
Seriously?
Do you want reviews or shall everyone only post up the positives? That way nobody will know what sources are good / bad / indifferent. I want honesty and integrity, not lip service. If 9 people have a positive experience and 1 has a bad one, it doesn't mean the 1 person is wrong. I know we get idiots / trolls etc making false claims / reverse scamming etc, but some of these reviews are well written, justified and have no doubt taken some courage to post up for fear of nuthuggers flaming etc. I had a guy about a week ago pm me for exactly that reason, had a bad experience with a sources gear but worried about posting up a negative review.
For me, it threatens the integrity of our source system.

I missed this one some how. Reviews are my baby! I am personally offended by this. Send me the names or situations. Direct me to the pages where you see this. ALL guilty parties will get pounced on hard!

What I don't like, and will cause me to neg a review is when the person reviewing hasn't run the gear yet, but says something like "this guy has always had that fire in the past so I know it's legit". That don't mean a damn thing. As MANY sources on here have dealt with, and labs will PROVE this is that even the best source can get beat by shitty raws. So you have used so-and-so's test in the past and it was fire? Cool, now some new member or inexperienced person may order just because you say their is a history of good products. Then it turns out that the batch of test you hyped up was bunk from a bad batch of raws, and now not only are you running bunk gear, but the new guy just threw his money away too.
We MUST remember to only review when we can attest to the proper qualities of that compound. No long esters should be review for MINIMUM 4 weeks, and quite frankly if you put up a review for freebies that's fine as long as it is HONEST. No one wants to see someone else get burnt so it's important that you review with the community in mind, not your personal stash, as many like myself have used these reviews to build their physique and change their lives for the better!

I gotta say I am truly grateful I found this site. It has helped me exceed what I thought I could accomplish on my own, and has saved me a ton of time and money. When people throw up bs reviews just to get free shit, and steer people in the wrong direction, it is like a slap in the face of the eroids community. Like MC above me said, one week on test e and you are reviewing it? Guess what, GSO pins smooth. That's not helping that your first shot was "smooth as butter" or whatever over used thoughtless saying you come up with. I forget what source it was but I saw a REVIEW that put 99% of others to shame, and that user got +3 from a mod PLUS 10 bonus points. Good for him and good for us, but the reality of it is ALL our reviews should be so well thought out. This is as close to homework as most of us "juicers" will ever get again and we should do it up CORRECT! Great post Catalyst, noobies should read this thread before throwing up crap reviews!
a lot of the negged reviews are done by guys that dont have enough karma to matter, I spent MANY hours following up on negged reviews that where legit, rarely was it from guys that could actually take away points. BUT, if you see a review that has been negged and YOU know that their points dropped PM a MOD and ask them to look into it. sometimes fat thumbs and sometimes we take away points as they have not learned how to use the karma system properly while gaining their first 50 points.
There is no way to regulate under 50 point fanboys so best to let it not bother you. unless of course they show their face in some other way then pussy negging
Good to know it's often non ranked members, I just hope seeing the minus score doesn't dissuade members from posting their honest experience.
Fat thumbs is often the culprit. I've certainly done it. He'll I've even neg'd myself with a fat thumb!!!!!
there is many things that we would like to change to make the site better, however with the current platform there is limitations and or to much work involved.
OK, so if someome is lacking a pack that was ordered in A WEEK IN ADVANCE and the tracker that does not work until the day be for arrival, is that considered a bad review? Hasnt recieved it. Never used it its quality.Does it work? Is it legit?
Reason I say this is I negg this, And I get on the SI and let them know I negg them and how they broke the rules of this site. Im no nuthugger but I do try to follow the rules of this site.

No issue in that one for me mate. Bullshit review, neg away if you see fit. Personally I don't tend to give positive or negative karma for reviews. I don't view what you say there as nut hugging. It's the antics if people negging a genuinely well written review just because it criticises their beloved source.

RustyhookerOne thing that bugs me about reviews. If you get a freebie, that does not automatically warrant immediate review. Say for examply source gives 50 tabs of var. You get sent 10Mg tabs. 5 days as a beginner. Be realistic in the review. Don't get pressured into a review. Car dealer gives you a key fob. Are you then expected to buy a new car?
This bugs because it's business. Freebies are awesome ways to see how a source treats you. Don't let them presdure you into falsely losing your integrity. If you appreviate their goodies, place a Nice order and then really test drive their services and gear. Do it right.

I had a source do exactly this to me when I'd been here only 6 months or so. Hassled me daily for about three weeks or so. I refused to review the gear until I could give an honest and objective opinion. Their response was to offer to send me more free stuff on the proviso that I reviewed before I even used it!!! At this point I forwarded the pm's to a mod.
Only second pin review that should be acknowledged is one for TNE or a base ester.
This is true, I gave a review on TNE after 3 pins, figured that was enough to review the product. I knew the first pin I'd feel like superman regardless, lol
Lucky you.... i wish i could get the "Superman effect" from ANY type of gear!... it just works steadily away in the background with me, i get none of this fast" oh yeah it hit me like a fkn hammer effect"..... all in the mind placebo effect imo...... only thing that i can say hits me with any type of effect is super strong coffee (caffeine) pre-W/out!... or dropping plates on my toes fires me up real bad also lol

ray3801Im sorry, but I negged one this morning because this guy is 2 weeks into a test e and test c cycle and bashing the source because his gear is bunk. Stupidity.......shows he did no research before running his gear. I cant speak for the legit reviews but when folks spout off at the mouth and have no clue what theyre talking about it pisses me off. I sent the guy a friend request and as soon as he accepts im gonna tell him why I negged him.....and before someone says "leave that up to the mods" ill say this.....why are we given the privilege to neg people in the first place?? If we all do our part to keeps things in order this site will be better off for it.
Interestingly enough as an add on to your comment there's a few reviews on a new source here for long ester test that they've only received 3 weeks ago.
Long enough to review? I think not. I couldn't tell you if test d was up to scratch that quickly. I'd want 6 weeks.
If there's a new source you like, great, I'm really pleased for you. Doesn't mean you should start posting reviews prematurely just to get them up the rankings. That's "fanboy" status IMO.
ray3801I agree.....I always take ample time before putting up a review. Hell, I waited a month to review some dbol I got just to be sure. People are so quick to let that placebo effect affect their judgement.

You nailed it right there. It is vital that we have all the information we need to make an informed choice. These are substances that we are putting into our bodies! I think the fan boys forget this.
For the most part, I think it's pretty easy to see what's real and what's not, on both sides of the fence. I put a significant amount of time reading positive and negative reviews and weighing the validity of each. If fanboys are negging unflattering reviews, then it just makes it so members won't post them and we have less information to make our decisions on. Also, when I see a bunch of "fanboy" reviews on a source, it makes me less inclined to use that source. It goes both ways.
I totally agree. There was a certain source that just went on hiatus that always warned their fanboys to not neg a review just because it wasn't positive. I always respected that source for that. It can get outta hand sometimes with the fanboys and the reviews. Integrity is everything when it comes to eroids.
Absolutely what I'm getting at here mate. I want to read honest reviews, not a watered down version because people are scared to. Integrity is vital.
Honestly, I don't even know if a review deserves a vote either way. Glad I don't have the task of flagging reviews. The ones where they are on their second pin and strength and weight are way up kill me.

Like you said, you can tell if the person knows what they are talking about from what they write. If they give a clear explanation of their experience good or bad then who's to say they are wrong cause you have a different experience. I personally read reviews on everything I buy, not just AAS.
Same here. If a person has an option of reading a review on a product then they should do so. The idea is to be able to take the good and the bad and see which one out weighs the other. That's why and it's just my personal opinion of course that fanboys can have such a negative impact on a source.
I hear ya. There are some sources that I'm sure have good product, but being on their SI almost makes me not want to try them out. I'm all for helping guys out and backing a good source that I like, but it gets a little ridiculous sometimes.
