Test only better than - Test/Var Cycle

Hello-

Im starting a Test C - Var cycle. Have all my PCT. 5'11, 190 boxer- good shape, 36yo.

Plan on 10 weeks, with Var last 5 - 40-50 a day.

Im sure many have been on this. Wondering if Test only is better.

I'm glad your friends preach the importance of pct!
Anyway, I prefer to add var to my test cycle. I like the lean, hard muscle, and added metabolic boost. Then again, you can listen to anybody but at the end of the day it's how your body reacts to the substance.
By the way, What are your goals with your cycle?

Im a fighter. i want to gain lean muscle mass and a bit more power.

You're on the right track with test var combo. I prefer the lean look myself coming from wrestling background. If you don't mind pinning I would suggest running test prop next cycle. You would pin eod but the prop ester typically has less bloat to it.
My last test var cycle was
Test prop: 125mg eod
Var: 50mg ed
Although it was only a 4 weeker, I had excellent results. I know it's short but I have really grown fond of short cycles and short esters.
Next short cycle:
Test prop: 75mg ed
Mast prop:75mg ed
Var: 75mg ed
Yes it's a lot of pinning and most people consider it unnecessary, but pinning ed with short esters keep my blood levels from fluctuating and the sides down.

Thank you. I train hard- want to keep it simple this time around. I have heard that Anavar can make you tired, Im hoping that doesnt happen as a boxer.

I will admit I do feel a little worn out at times when I take var. remember everyone is different. You may not see some sides as much, or even more, than someone else.

This is the OP's second cycle. Why are you proposing advanced cycles? Not wise advice.

My apologies, I should have specified... My intention was showing a basic cycle for his wants alongside a more advanced cycle. My advice earlier was to add 50mg of var to a second cycle. It was more just a suggestion for further study since he is an athlete.

First time I ran var with test I used 50mg ed and got good results... I was 185 at the time. If I were you I would start at 50 for your first cycle. Var is typically mild for most people and 100mg ed is certainly not unheard of. We all do the research but it really just matters what works for you.

Hi- Did a test only last year and it was my first. This is my 2cd cycle. I want to get leaner-stronger. Im a fighter.

The var would be an alright choice. 50 mg is a standard dose, but that can be adjusted up or down.
Just don't get caught in the "I need to keep adding another compound each cycle" trap. Keep things simple and go as low as you can. Keeps you healthier and you'll be able to use loonger if you so choose.
