+ 2 Peptides: immune function & tendonitus
I'm 58 and began to suffer a lot of nagging injuries; muscles and tendons. I also had unexplained weight loss: 20lbs. I had also lost a lot of my strength, unusually so for a man of my age, fitness and activity. Lastly, I came down with a bout of food poisoning that never quite went away - it remained sub-acute. Like most guys, I went to a lot of doctors who either discounted my problems or just gave me pain pills and told me to eat more....
So, I did some research of my own, which I'm pretty good at, having a PhD and being a former librarian. All my research pointed to one problem: low growth hormone. I ran this by my doctors and got a doubtful response. So, I decided to be my own test monkey and ordered peptides: GHRP-6 & CJC-1295 w/o dac. I started out 60mcg of each 3 times a day. Within a few days I noticed an improvement. The biggest was my sub-acute illness. Before, anytime I tried to exercise it came right back. Now I could start exercising all I wanted; lifting, running, cycling. No more problems.
My other big problem was severe tendonitis in my right shoulder, elbow, index finger and thumb. It was so severe I had lost 60% use of my right arm. Now, after about 6 weeks on peptides have had about an 80% improvement. Pain and movement have significantly improved. This is in contrast to about 4 months of non-use, rest and immobility which did nothing but keep it from getting worse.
The last problem area I have is injuries in my thighs. I tore thigh muscles, sprinting, in both legs, about a year ago. They still bother me. I would say there has been a modest improvement. I think I will try direct injections of IGF & MGF here soon on them and see how that works. Right now I am only on a cycling/walking/running fitness program. I wanted to wait until I started lifting again before I used them but right now I am primarily interested in their healing and restorative powers rather than their muscle building ability.
I have recently added Huperzine to my regimen, 150mcg/day. I can't say I have noticed anything significant. Also, I have increased my peptide dosage to 80mcg each. Now, a lot of you will say that my dosages are too low but you must remember I weigh 125lbs, not 225lbs. Most medications are dosed out according to bodyweight, so I have taken mine into account. Also, I'm not training for the Olympia, just trying to get back a normal, healthy functioning body.
So, from my test monkey's experience my conclusion is that peptides are effective in boosting the immune system and healing tendonitis. On muscle tears the jury is still out.
NOTE: I'm still not lifting because of the tendonitis. So I'm basically on a cardio program.

Glad to hear that you're doing well on the peptides! I'm a complete newbie to all this and what you said about it healing your tendonitis really got my attention. I just turned 40 and all of a sudden I don't feel so good anymore. One of the main reasons is joint problems. I injured my shoulder playing tennis 2 years ago and it never completely healed. I was diagnosed with tendonitis/ impingement syndrome and did physical therapy, rest, nsaids and all that but it just wont completely heal. It's a huge problem b/c I cant even lift light weights or do any strength training without it flaring up. My ankle is in the same situation. And recently my knee is bothering me too. Because of my lack of physical activity (and maybe getting older), I've lost a lot of strength and body weight (I'm about 10lbs underweight right now).
I just ordered my first hGH (Norditropin) and it's on it's way. Do you think the hGH will have the same effects as your GHRP-6 in healing my tendonitis? It's also taking me a lot longer to recover after hard matches now than before and overall, my body just feels "old", even though I'm only 40.
What do you think are the differences b/t peptides like GHRP and hGH and how do I decide which I should take? Is GHRP and Sermorelin the same? Sorry for if it's too many questions... =)
The nord is man made... GHRP increases the natural hgh pulse within your body dude. Please read up abit more before jumping in. You need blood work? etc - just advice bro.
Yes, I know the basic of hGH and GHRP, but you're right, I need to read up a lot more. I have done blood work and consult and have rx from anti-aging Dr..
Keep getting well, Mate.
It's the little injuries and aches and pains that always seem to cause the most trouble.
Just take it easy, stick with the cardio and the recovery time will not be as long.
Best regards +1
