New to gear, not new to the gym. Work in healthcare industry
Greetings!
I wanted to introduce myself onto this forum here...have been reading up and studying gear for months now and am trying to absorb all the information I can to be able to safely use AAS.
A little bit about myself, I am a 27 year old professional who works in the healthcare industry as a medical device sales representative...so I am probably a bit more stringent on what products I would like to put into my body and at what amounts.
I am 5'9", 170lbs, 11% or so body fat. I regularly eat healthy, similar meals and portion sizes but do not measure exactly it is to what I am eating or cook in bulk. I work out in two gyms give or take 4 times per week, one being similar to a crossfit in that it is total body, functional movements including kettlebells, in which most instructors are StrongFirst Level 2 Certified. We use heart rate monitors during every class to monitor activity based on the type of training we are doing (anaerobic or aerobic). The other gym that I work out in is a typical gym, similar to an LA Fitness or Planet Fitness. I also routinely run 15-20 miles per week, both distance and sprints.
I've been on to numerous forums, but I still feel most comfortable (given my profession) reading published and studied materials to help give me the best info. So far to date, the best that I've found is William Llewellyn's latest edition of Anabolics, along with some recorded presentations he has given online.
The purpose of me joining this forum is I would like to eventually find a source for pharmaceutical grade gear that can help me safely achieve my goals. Fortunately, money is not an issue for me, so paying a premium for lab tested, safe gear with no contaminants is what it is that I'm looking for. I have researched some of the more popular Sources and Labs, but would still prefer gear that could essentially be approved by the FDA's standards.
Looking forward to doing some more research on this forum, and hopefully being able to find and in the future help others with the knowledge I've acquired regarding AAS.
Best!

Woody, welcome! I know that you will be able to find answers to all of your questions.. We have a few fellas that I've gotten to know that are in the medical field so you are not alone. I suggest first.. reading the rules, it's very important to know what you can or can not discuss in open forums. Second use the magnifying glass to search for specific topics and finally post up your questions in the appropriate section or you can ask general questions in the general use area. I hope you fine everything you need on this site and if you need any help feel free to hit me up or any other member active on the boards..
Some other thoughts I've been pondering:
- Blood testing pre, on, and post cycle. How important is this based on what I've told you about me, and how many users routinely get blood tested? do I mention to my PCP that I am starting a cycle and that I would like his support in minimizing complications?
- Finasteride- I've been on finasteride (propecia) to slow down hair loss for about 4 years at 1.25mg (quartering a 5mg tablet per physician instruction). When on specific gear, should I be temporarily upping the dosage to offset the increased DHT conversion?
First, Welcome!
Second, you have lots of questions here (good ones) and in your original post, so I would post them up in the appropriate forums. That way many people will see it and be able to respond (this section is basically to to say "Hi"). Tons of informed people here and you will find what you're looking for. Also, use the search function up top and search out some of your questions before you post. There has been years of topics and you can get a great start there. Best of luck.
