Increase finasteride dosage if I've been on it for years?
ad
Greetings-
I'm new to the forums, but have been reading up for months on gear. About to start my first cycle. One (of many) questions that I've had is that I have been on 1.25 mg of finasteride for about 4 or 5 years now, prescribed from my PCP to slow down hairloss.
My question is, should I increase the dosage when I start taking gear, and then reduce it back down to the normal 1.25 mg after completion of the cycle?
Thanks
Woody

If you are doing a testosterone-based cycle or a compound that converts to DHT then the answer is yes.
If you are doing a DHT derived compound like Masteron then the answer is NO because there is nothing to convert. But this type of compound will affect your hair loss and no matter how much finasteride you take it will not prevent it.
If you are doing a nor-19 compound then the answer is no, as those compounds do not convert to DHT.
Interested in this also... Got a bunch of the 5 milligrams from a friend (little blue pills) and have been taking every three days to prevent hairloss on cycle. I'm not really prone to hairloss but last time I got my haircut I swear the spot where my cow lick was opened up a bit.
On this forum I think I read 1mg a day for hairloss any extra wont add much benefit and for prostate max dose should be around 5 a day.
