workout question

I have a 4 on 4 off night rotation job. The days I do work there is no way to make it to the gym. Well at least to get my 8 hours of sleep, there isn't. I'm starting a cycle and don't wanna waste it. Any suggestions??

BigBmajYou could do a split like this
Arms.
Legs Make sure you hit squats hard
Chest and shoulders
Back including traps. Hit deads and chins.
Hell yeah that sounds like a plan
BigBmajTrain your ass off on the four nights and try to recover as well as you can on off days.
I only train 3 or 4 days a week but train so hard on training days I can't lift more than that.
No idea how this message got split in two.
I think I can cut some sleep hours, and yea on my last day I will have to push my self to hit the gym. Thanks for the suggestions. And yes wasting gear would definitely suck.
Glad to hear it. +1. You just need to make it a priority and sick to it. You will find that as you are into it a few weeks, you will have more energy and will feel like your day is not right without your workout. It's amazing what we can do when we set a goal and stick to it. Best if luck.
I think there are some good ideas below.
You need to figure something out as to your workout schedule, or you would basically be wasting your gear. I never get more than six hours of sleep and I do great. If you cut your sleep a little, you will have an hour or more to work out. That would be enough to make your cycle work.
Well bro on those days you gotta work I'm sure you can pick two of those and come up with some stuff to do at home. If I need to make it to the gym but I can't I head my ass out in my garage and get after it. Push ups, sit ups, bag work, light dumbells, or whatever. You can find something bro.
I had this issue a few years back, I was working 12 hour graveyard shifts. Here was my solution:
On my last night shift I would work out the morning after, no matter how tired I was. Then I would eat a massive breakfast and pass out. I would then workout on my 2nd and 4th nights off. I pulled off 3 full body workout sessions this way a week for about 3 years. It was not easy, and I never really got used to nights, but it can still be done!
Good luck to you!
Nice post, with some good suggestions. +1.
