Half Life Of Steroids

Half life's are a very important thing and should also be understood. Knowing what the half life of the steroids you plan on taking will help you plan out the cycle so all the compounds will be out of your system at the same time. This way you know exactly when to start your PCT and also to make sure you always have testosterone in your system while on other steroids.

For instance lets say if the half life of the test you are on is 2 weeks and the half life of another steroid you are taking is 3 weeks, then you should stop the longer one a week before the last shot of test. Orals have short half lives so they can be ran up to pct time in most cases while the test is working out of your system.

Active Half-Life

Oral steroids

Anadrol / Anapolan50 (oxymetholone) 8-9 hours
Anavar (oxandrolone) 9 hours
Dianabol (methandrostenolone, methandienone) 4.5 - 6 hours
Methyltestosterone 4 days
Winstrol (stanozolol) 9 hours
(tablets or depot taken orally)

Depot steroids

Deca-durabolin (Nandrolone decanate) 15 days
Equipoise 14 days
Finaject (trenbolone acetate) 3 days
Primobolan (methenolone enanthate) 10.5 days
Sustanon or Omnadren 15 - 18 days
Testosterone Cypionate 12 days
Testosterone Enanthate 10.5 days
Testosterone Propionate 4.5 days
Testosterone Suspension 1 day

  • Winstrol (stanozolol) 1 day (Technically Stan Depot does not have a half-life simply due to the fact that it's UN-ESTRIFIED! It contains microcrystals that will dissolve slowly and once they've all dissolved the levels of the hormone will fall pretty rapidly)

    Steroid esters

    Formate 1.5 days
    Acetate 3 days
    Propionate 4.5 days
    Phenylpropionate 4.5 days
    Butyrate 6 days
    Valerate 7 days
    Hexanoate 9 days
    Caproate 9 days
    Isocaproate 9 days
    Heptanoate 10 days
    Enanthate 10.5 days
    Octanoate 12 days
    Cypionate 12 days
    Nonanoate 13.5 days
    Decanoate 15days
    Undecanoate 16.5 days

    Ancillaries

    Arimidex 3 days
    Letrozole 2 days
    Aromasin 27 hours
    Clenbuterol 1.5 days
    Clomid 5 days
    Cytadren 6 hours
    Ephedrine 6 hours
    T3 10 hours

This post I am sure was meant to be helpful but it is full of several errors. So before you copy and paste something or give your input. Do some hardcore research and back it up with links. There have been thousands of tests done to detect the carbon life in blood plasma levels and in each test the findings typically vary. You have to realize that the "Esters" or carbon life can be longer or shorter depending on the injection site. Also the ester itself can have a carrier oil that may allow for longer absorbing times. Here is a classic example of a test that will show you how it's not as simple as the above. http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/281/1/93.full.pdf or http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10229906?dopt=Abstract Both links will show your times are off and this why it's not as easy as just throwing up some guestimates and have pertain to everyone in every instance. You may also have a guy or girl who has hypothyroidism and the T3/T4 duration may be completely off so it varies.....Just saying..........

No offense I was just adding to the harsh reality that what we think we know one day can change the next. I learn knew things everyday and just wanted to add that your post while meant to help had some inconsistencies from what I read and it's really not a one size fits all type of chart.

Seen so many of these copy and pasted half life posts and they are almost ALL wrong...why do people still bother to paste other forum posts without doing their own research? Karma post?

Well I can tell you that aromasin does not have a half-life of 27hrs in the male body. Published med shows it's a little under 9hrs. In females it's 27hrs.

Nitti's picture

a little under 9 hours in men (Aromasin half life)

:-O

Seriously? Well wtf am I taking it eod for then? Who hasn't anyone shared this with us? C'mon man! Post up. Is published meds reliable enough to jump in on the idea?

I've seen this one before. The only problem I see with it is the prop and phenylprop having the same half life.

scoobydoo's picture

I have seen different charts of prop being anywhere from 1 to 4 days.It seemed 2 days was the most popular.So.I'm not exactly sure. But it should be less than phenyl because of the extra ester.

Good info. Nice to have it all in one place. +1
