3875 total estrogen!!!!! WTF!

ad

I had bloodwork done Thursday. Oct 3. My doctor is also a friend and fellow bodybuilder. He texted me this morning: Your total estrogen level is 3875! Normal is below 115. I don't have trannies with levels this high. You need to increase your estrogen blocker.

Needless to say I was absolutely FREAKED out.

Here's a brief description of my cycle:
http://www.eroids.com/pics/incredible-pump-after-10-day-layoff-actually-...

I've read about 'false estrogen readings' when on tren, but honestly it didn't really concern me because I thought, "well, they're false reading, so ignore it". Now that it's hit home, it's quite another story. Perspective certainly changes when you're actually involved in something as opposed to being an outside observer.

I'm certain that I wouldn't be able to function with levels that high, let alone have sex. And I feel really good. Like a fucking gorilla. I don't think there's any way I wouldn't notice levels this high. I've read tread's post: http://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/estrogen-and-test
And this makes me think that i need to control my SBGH. How do i do this?

Also, my prolactin was 'undetectable'. I asked my doc if this is a problem and shouldn't I have a little prolactin? He said no, it's fine. So, I'm really killing my prolactin. There's no doubt that my caber is good. My prami is probably also good because my prolactin has been under control since day one. I can't take nolvadex with the tren. And I'm already taking Exemestane at 12.5 ED. So I'm wondering what to do, if anything.

UPDATE: I do have gyno, but it's not even noticeable from the front and not very bad from the side. Just a little puffy under the nips but not sore. They were sore when I first noticed it 10 weeks ago, but it actually looks better I think since taking Mast e. Thanks to Rocky (muta) Marciano.

Also, I definitely will post my lab results when I get them. In fact, I'm getting copies of the previous lab work from 6 weeks prior (in late August). I know that my estradiol number from August was 144.8, normal is between 7.6 - 42.6, and my testosterone was 1174, normal is between 348 - 1197. I'm really curious to see the latest bloodwork in it's entirety. So, I know my estradiol number was high in August, but my doc had no concerns, despite my opinion being it was way too high. And it's one of those things where if I don't have sides, it tends to get relegated to something to just keep my eye on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I wasn't able to get new bloodwork done this week, but next week I will.

Thanks again brothers and sisters.

Lab Corp. only reporting >50 testosterone is absurd, yet they'll report numbers like 3875 total estro. Also, I don't understand why the Aug. report shows certain things compared to the Oct 3 report. So, I'm unable to compare assays accurately. Very frustrating.

Darktide's picture

What am I missing??? It says Estradiol 361.8 and then underneath Total Estrogen 3875! You know it reminds me of my blood tests I got before where the words were misprinted! I wonder if that isn't total testosterone 3875 brother. Because I don't see the total testosterone anywhere on the paper.

Denser's picture

Right on bro. I was wondering why so many discrepancies vs. the Aug. bloods. I understand that he (my doc) ordered slightly different assays on each, but regardless of this, the discrepancies remain. Once again I'll have to consult my doc on this, although my fellow eroiders have more cumulative knowledge. I think it's best to get a professional opinion and compare that with the real world experiences expressed by the good men and women of this site.

Darktide's picture

Yeah I would for sure go back to the doc and even ask him if they jumbled the wording on the test. Just the way it reads I have never seen on bloods the estrogen separated like that. But 3875 being total test makes sense to me and would also explain why you are not showing symptoms. I have seen this happen before on these read outs so it actually gives me more hope for your bloods now. I am looking forward to what he says but having the total test with the free test right next to each other is how mine always come back with one number for the estrogen levels. So we will keep a good though until you go back that it is that Smile

Denser's picture

I just noticed another strange fact. The total estro number was the only one that had a 'lab' reference in the last column as '02'. All the other assays on the report are 'lab: 01'. I wonder why that is.

Darktide's picture

Good point brother I kept looking at mine up and down until I came to the conclusion the paperwork was messed up. It is good to be meticulous for peace of mind!

Wasn't able to get new bloods this week. I'll get them for certain next week. Busy doc, busy me. Although I did go to his practice today to get copies of my past two labs. I'll post them asap.

Darktide's picture

Have you been able to make it back for the tests yet brother? I hope you are still feeling good at least

Denser's picture

Thanks brothers. I sincerely appreciate the concern.

Look forward to hearing good news brother that your levels are down. If i were in your place I would be the same way, but it is goo to see your wise approach to dealing with this. It is a great example for others to follow. +2

Denser's picture

I have to tell you bro, you're like a true blood brother to me! I really appreciate all your feedback. In fact I look forward to it.

Regarding the latest developments. I've discovered that tren seems to show up as estrogen when tested by Lab Corp. and possibly other labs. I really don't know the veracity of this, but it seems plausible. I wonder how many guys have had similar readings. I suppose that when they say 'false reading' this is what they're referring to - the tren registering as estrogen reading. So, I am relieved. I really don't have the sides associated with that astronomical total estrogen number. Frankly, who knows what those sides would be at those levels.

Thanks again brother. Be well.

Darktide's picture

That is interesting I am running tren right now. I will when I travel find a Lab Corp and get tested. I know the place where I get my normal bloods done they don't use them. Just to see about that maybe with some cross information we can nail down a theory.

I think it is great that you don't have the sides of high estrogen. Even if your estrogen is that high and you are immune genetically to the negative sides....well damn that is a gift I wish I had. I am always wide open to new theories because I really do believe there can be big differences in a case by case basis. You keep staying well and healthy and I believe that you posting this is going to help a lot of members, because I don't believe even if it is a false reading blood levels coming back with even the hint of a great off balance is a joke when a person's health could be in the balance.

This my brother is just another example of your High Asset Value (obviously I don't mean the typical HAV ;-D) to this community! +2

I was just in the middle of another lengthy write up when I checked my lab results post (links above). Wow! Check this out. I must say that I missed this post, and I wish I hadn't because this would have saved me a lot of grief and all who posted here some time and effort. I think we should combine a compendium on this "Tren reported as estrogen in ECLIA methodology". And it should be stickied. The following link should be the basis of the sticky, and possibly add my post as a link within his post: http://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/updated-tren-causing-bo...

Denser, b4 you go could you post a breast shot? No homo (tho I don't think that applies any longer in your case...)

Denser's picture

Those who say 'no homo' have insecurities about their sexuality, and the fact that you asked to see breasts that I don't have confirms that you actually are a homo. Take a hike faggot!

Modified's picture

Whoa. Seriously bro? I have to remember to add a winking smilie. Punk.

Denser's picture

Well, since you forgot the winking smile, it came off as disrespect. So let's start over. So you're not really a faggot? Okay, I am a punk though... a damn lucky one ;-) Check this out:

It's all forgotten. No, I am not gay. Although I don't have a huge problem with it unless they are flaunting it or its some weird dude staring in the locker room or something. I view it as a developmental brain disorder. Possibly the result of estrogenic pesticides and endocrine disrupters like certain plastics.

Hot babe! Hope you guys work out - in both meanings of the phrase. :-)

Denser's picture

Thanks for the compliment. She rocks my world!

Bro, you're definitely educated about this. I had to laugh at the reference to flaunting it and staring in the locker room. It's unnerving. +1 bro

Updates are up in the post as of Oct 9, 2103. If you already read the above post, just read below the paragraph that is just below 'UPDATE" that starts with 'Also'. Thanks for all the concern and suggestions. I greatly appreciate the support.

Unless you've been compelled to go out and buy 20 pairs of shoes then stop off at the cinema to watch a series of 80s chick flicks I reckon you have a test anomaly here. If your estro was that high you'd know about it, it wouldn't be subtle.

J.Mc.'s picture

What kind of gear were you running at the time of that test?

Denser's picture

I agree bro. I was actually joking about it a lot yesterday. What's bothering me now is not knowing my separate actual estro numbers. I couldn't make it to the doc yesterday to pick up my lab sheets, but I plan on getting there by week's end.

Catalyst's picture

I'd be interested to see the numbers when you get 'em.

Denser's picture

Damn bro. That's really good real life experience. Thanks for this response. You've missed reading that I am on pharma grade Exemestane. I have a script for it. So it's absolutely good stuff. I have UG Letro, but from what I've read, it doesn't sound like something I want to take except as a last resort. And yes, this may be a last resort if my numbers come back the same or even higher as yours did. I'm going to do more research on Letro. I bought it and every possible SERM, SARM, AI, and HCG before starting my cycle, except of course the exemestane, and tamox for which I also have a filled script for. Great response bro. +1

TheFlash85's picture

x 2 bro, you can even run the letro higher than that, honestly it is over hyped, I had bloods drawn not much different to the estrogen he has, I ran letro at 2.5mgs a day for a week then tapered it down every 7 days after that, then overlapped it with aromasin and continued with that remainder of cycle, bloods done after cycle where within normal range, I actually love letro now, and will always use it from now on! gave me a good feeling and wiped out all trace of gyno!

Denser's picture

I'm really cautious about taking more than one AI simultaneously. If I thought Letro would solve this, I'd take it without a second thought. And I still may, if my Aromasin doesn't take care of this. I got a text from doc today after I asked him what's the maximum recommended dose for Aro. He responded with: 25 - 50mg ed. So last night I upped to 25mg and took another half tab (12.5) this afternoon. I don't feel any different. maybe a little tired, but I was up late last night and only got 6 hours sleep. So, I'll wait and watch for sides and get new bloods in a day or two.

MedDx's picture

Woah!! Should you increase exemestane?

Denser's picture

Well, my original script was for 25mg ed, and I actually cut it to 12.5mg. I'm making another appointment fro the bloods and I have more questions for my doc. I took my normal 12.5mg last night, then after getting the text, I took another 12.5mg about 12 hours apart. So tonight I'm planning a whole tab of 25mg pre-bedtime. What are the risks and benefits of increasing to 25mg?

GetRippedOrDieMirin's picture

Holy fucking Christ. This is possible? D: Are you ovulating yet?

damn im gonna get my blood tested soon now

Denser's picture

Always a good idea to have bloods done at least every six weeks on cycle, pre-PCT and after PCT. This way you know what's up before, during, and after the cycle - and before and after PCT.

Denser's picture

BRO! What happened to you? One minute we're talking and the next you're banned! Bad day for us both.

If you can read this, I'm still on. I have until Oct 17 for this 12 week cycle. I seriously considered cutting it short as of this morning. But I feel great, and think the 3875 number is an anomaly. So, I'm staying on until the end. I hope you come back bro!
