Steroids -Vs- McDonalds

ad

Looking at the pro-athletes on the 2013 Mr Olympia stage and saying, "That's just steroids", is like looking at a fat person and saying, "That's just McDonalds".

YOU STILL HAVE TO PUT IN THE WORK TO GET THE RESULTS. (You just get SOME of the results quicker on the juice than usual).

XvBeast's picture

its 4 things
1. drugs
2. diet
3. sleep
4. training

u have to have them all, u dont have one.. ur fucked. u have to have genetics of how ur body is shape (big wide collar bone), & how big ur muscles can get.

The point I'm trying to make is, the physiques that we all put our life's blood into creating when we pray at our gym churches are NOT just given to us by a few pins in the butt (Or wherever you pin up).

We all HAVE to put in the heavy work to get the rewards out.

Yes, granted, genetics and a large bank account plays a huge part with being able to walk on the big show stages. And just a few cycles of Deca and Test E is not going to give you these kind of bodies either. But I don't care who you are, you're NOT going to get that big by just using AAS.

And the fat-fuffers of the world aren't just getting fat by visiting their favorite fast food joints, ordering their mega size grease burger, extra large fries and diet coke either.

ReadyToKillIt's picture

I somewhat disagree. While food is a huge contributing factor. I believe the main issue is the sedentary lifestyle we allow kids to latch on to from young ages. I think that's what the op is getting at. It's not just the food making them fat, they have to put forth the effort to be so fucking lazy, that instead of burning those cals while it can, the body converts it to stored fat. We all know it takes several factors to get big (both bad big and good big), the diff is it takes a hell of a lot more hard work to get big in the right ways.

JustAMate's picture

^AMEN, Mate^

ReadyToKillIt's picture

Try an experiment and eat mcdonalds everyday for 3 weeks but up your cardio and see what happens.

Hahaha no thanks brother, part of what makes fat people fat is a willingness to be that lazy. That, and a general overall sense if who gives a fuck

I see your point. There definitely is something that is in the food today. If you look back up until about the 70s, there wasn't the same fast food type culture. Families cooked meals. Even though these meals were loaded with fat and cooked in butter, they still didn't have the obesity rates as now. However I still have a hard time solely blaming the food. Kids back then didn't sit home playing play station or sitting online all day. I think if someone took you up on your Mickey D's challenge, it's not gonna make them fat all by itself. Also remember fat is a relative term. I feel like a fat ass at anything <15% bf, someone else might feel fit and trim at 25%.

JustAMate's picture

Like you're getting bigger by lifting the iron?

extremediezel's picture

1)juice
2)hgh
3)insulin lmfao jk but seriously juice is number 1, food is also number 1, then the rest

tootallslim's picture

I was actually reading that study last night and I was going to copy and paste it here. They didn't change their diet or eat insane amounts of protein and they gained muscle.

The group that was on juice and lifted gained something like 15 lbs in 10 weeks and the non training group on juice still gained like 5 lbs of lbm doing absolutely nothing.

But I think genetics plays the most important role. I know guys who eat McDonald's and pizza every day and are jacked and never did a cycle. And someone like me could run 1 g of test a week and eat 5, 000 calories a day and maybe gain 8 lbs. It's all genetics.U see some guys riripped and with 6 packs and never lifted a day in their life. Arnold didn't just get big from juice! He had ridiculous genetics and a strong work ethic and aas just amplified that. Just mho.

And you got my point BANG ON, Mate.

It's not JUST down to the gear we/they use.

+1 for understanding.

OmNom's picture

Is it bad I get a mental image of a fat bastard in one of those scooters mowing down cheese burger after cheese burger when you said "you still have to put in the work to get the results" hahahaha

BBB's picture

LOL!

Denser's picture

Roids are only 5% of the equation. Genetics are the top factor.

GRIMEY's picture

Completely agree on the genetics. Not only do they have 1 in 1,000,000 genetics, they also have insane dedication to the sport 24/7 in regards to diet, training and rest.

Owes a Review × 2
BBB's picture

I think its the drugs.lol... Obviously ur training and diet has to be there but that goes without saying... Its all a chemical warfare to get to that level..IMO

BBB's picture

Yeah its not just roids...its slin, and tons of synthol and HGH. Lol...with amazing genetics also.

FutMrO's picture

You can't put it like that. Everything they do is playing a part in them standing on that stage. You can't be on the stage without using aas. BUT you sure as hell can't be on the stage using aas and not training and/or dieting. Everything is a little brick in a puzzle, leave one brick out and its incomplete. Genetics also play a large role in who takes the prize Smile

Jc74s's picture

with out juice igf slin hgh you dont step on stage period at that level yes diet and training is important but like they say this is chemical warfare when you get that level
