+ 6 ~ A Philosophical Question ~

ad

We currently have a contest brewing in the ARENA
http://www.eroids.com/og/the-arena/foolmeonce-vs.-gorillafit

Check out the stats on each contestant, I'm adding their ages because that's the crux of my question:

GorillaFit- Starting date: 9-22-13
Starting Stats- 206lbs 8-12% bf
Age: 51

FoolMeOnce- Starting date : 9-18- 13
Starting Stats- 202lbs 11-14% bf
Age: 19

Here's a recent post I made on that thread:

This arena is awesome. Yet, on one hand I love the angst created from the EBC thread and now carried over to this Arena, the 30 plus year age difference, and the raw contention. On the other hand, I keep coming back to the fact that Foolmeonce is only 19 and this competition could be very dangerous for him. It's seriously like corrupting a minor. Not a minor legally, but certainly in the world of AAS. And yet again, when someone is warned over and over, and just ignores the factual dangers and has that 'that won't happen to me' attitude no matter how much effort is used to dissuade him, then I have no problem watching them destroy themselves. It's a cruel world and survival of the fittest is the predominant rule. Food for thought.

THE PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTION: (Edit: original is below - edited question is the second question)
As implied in my above post, what's your take on the potential for FoolMeOnce to permanently damage himself?
The potential danger for FoolMeOnce is irrefutable. Should he be given a platform such as The Area and all the attention and subsequent motivation and encouragement?

My opinion is that he's already on a crash course for serious problems, and this competition is going to accelerate his potential demise. Conversely, I don't care very much. Why? Because he's been warned countless times by people on this site who are absolute gurus. And I rarely use that word to describe anyone, but we're honored and privileged to have many. I'm not talking about Karma points either. Some have a ton, others have little. It's about knowledge and real world experience and the willingness to share and educate. But education is a two way relationship. The student must be receptive and heed accordingly. The above is a case where we have a non-receptive student. And my final thought is: let nature run its course. Brutal as it is at times, like watching a lion run down an antelope and eat it alive.

What are your thoughts?

Results are in guys!........... judge,jury,executioner............... thats my job to keep others safe around here.

Narrative and reasons are within the link.

Have a good day gentlebeasts lol.

Catalyst's picture

Unfortunately this is for this lads own good. I could see him taking more and more risks to prove himself in a competitive environment. He's 19, I don't want to see a youngster in a mess even if he is a bit arrogant.

Good call Vike.

Darktide's picture

This is why Eroids has the best set of mods around we couldn't possibly do better imo! A big thanks to you for your caring professionalism!

Denser's picture

gentlebeasts

LMFAO! Reminds me of the Starburst commercials with the contradictions like the screaming mime and the Korean Scottsman. Cracks me up:

Darktide's picture

Well there you go acting and thinking with wisdom! We don't need that around here we are trying to do it the long and hard way Smile

Darktide's picture

Now I know we are related! Blum 3

Darktide's picture

That is a fact and a well proven one! I have never seen you or the other vets here who no there stuff ever not go above and beyond. So if someone isn't getting help they have gone out of their way to ruin it.

Denser's picture

What gets me is all the time I wasted on this ignoramus. Although I suppose I wouldn't necessarily consider it wasted had he changed course.

Darktide's picture

I don't see it that way it just goes to expose that you were generous and he shit on it with his pride. I never see the generous person coming off looking bad just because a fool scorns the wisdom.

Denser's picture

Thanks Pank. I agree that if I saw someone offering their generosity only to be treated like shit, I wouldn't consider the generous person looking like bad. The fool still looks as he is. But to actually be that generous person changes the dynamic in that I don't like to waste my time on those who don't deserve it.

Denser's picture

Thanks a lot Mexy, that means a lot to me coming from you. I like how you described this awesome community of ours. I'll never let a punk ass like the fool tool dampen my spirit or alter my nature in any way.

Wow, you spent an entire year on Monster666. That takes heart bro. We'll always have a variety of personalities here as in life. Unfortunately this includes personalities like Monster666 and FoolMeOnce. And I'm certain another of their ilk will rear their asses at some point in the future.

BTW, I replied to a pic thread: http://www.eroids.com/pics/mr-olympia-2013-streaming-site
and as you can see the post creator's handle is Mexbolone. I asked him if he was related to the user formerly known as SexyMexy, aka CarlosDanger.

Peace bro!

Denser's picture

ur smirky lil attitude is going to get ur shit pushed in

Guaranteed she'd lose that attitude instantly if she had to face us instead of hiding behind her keyboard in mommy's basement.

Darktide's picture

I will add seeing all of these responsible replies of wisdon, is why I respect so many members here. Also showing other viewing eyes that all aas users are not low IQ irresponsible meat heads. I honestly expected nothing less for the men that posted below and just goes to show why I believe this is the best online community out there!

dudebro's picture

It's tough considering his age. I remember when I was that age and if this many people were telling me it's the wrong thing to do I'd go ahead and do it just to prove them all wrong. The sad thing is I still have a little bit of that in me to this day lol.

There's really no way to win in this one and it's gonna go down unless Gfit pulls out or the mods shut it down because there's no way in hell this kid is gonna pull out after it's been built up and talked about so much now.

Darktide's picture

So true on the other side I had already been to war by 19 and learned fast and quick that arrogance and foolishness can be very unforgiving. I have seen 19 year old that conduct themselves like wise men and others like immature children. He falls in the latter case and I am not one given over to quick judgements about people, but his diarrhea of the mouth sealed his fate. Ignorance can be forgiven but not the perpetual arrogance he is showing towards well respected members.

Of course this is a common trait amount hose who do not accomplish great things they talk and believe any attention even negative gives them a sense of self importance. So he claims to be a man then his actions should be judge as one in my book. My hope is that Gfit shuts it down. This could have easily been me getting baited into a competition like this I have done this many times in the past. It is easier to see when you are standing on the outside.

Denser's picture

Same to you Pank.

...Because he's been warned countless times by people on this site who are absolute gurus. And I rarely use that word to describe anyone, but we're honored and privileged to have many.

You were one of this group when I wrote the above. Loaded with wisdom.

hghwells's picture

This kid will never listen and he gives out bad advice to new people in cycle logs every once in a while. I think he should be banned, but thats just me. He's bad news and I dont think guys like that who set such bad examples should be allowed to be part of eroids. My 2 cents.

hghwells's picture

I am not a Moderator but if i were, AND unbiased, i would dock their karma and talk with them about promoting the safest use of steroids. i would also advise them to address the community apologizing for their actions and stating their wrong. i would advise though because it is what a man should do. i would not require it. AGAIN this is just what i would do and am not trying to tell anyone else what to do. It is a kids life in the balance though.

Denser's picture

If I had met a 50 year old junkie when I was 19 who challenged me to a heron ho-down, I would perhaps be dead today.

Good stuff BigB.

You caused me to think that actually the older the opponent, the more enticing the challenge for the undiscerning teenager with the mindset that 'beating this old guy will be a cakewalk'.

Catalyst's picture

From what I've read this kid will do what he wants regardless of the advice, which is obviously his choice. A competitive scenario isn't, IMO, a very good idea for someone with his mentality. Read his posts, he's clearly a risk taker, (as many 19 year olds are), the possibility of winning money and pride etc could and probably will make him run compounds / doses that make those risks even higher.

In the interests of bring responsible, this shouldn't go ahead. It completely contradicts what we strive to do here, keep AAS users safe.

+1 denser for speaking up.

Denser's picture

the possibility of winning money and pride etc could and probably will make him run compounds / doses that make those risks even higher.

That's a powerful statement!

GRIMEY's picture

This young fella thinks he is the exception to every rule. I had the same mindset at his age, luckily I was nowhere near the AAS scene.

Chances are he is going to do whatever he wants, he's made that pretty clear thus far. This is a bad situation as he has also stated his financial situation is not good. What happens if problems arise and he needs to order supports or ai's or something? I bet its likely that us members here are the only people who know what he plans to do. If problems arise and he ends up in the ER, like most teens he is not likely to tell the truth out of fear or embarassment and thus not get proper treatment.

Yes I am jumping to many conclusions here but that possibility of them are very real. I dont see this ending well no matter how I look at it.

He does not listen and insists on going through with something very dangerous. I feel that arena battle should be closed ( sorry Gfit, I know you would have tuned him up, but possibly at the cost of his health) and he should also be barred from future EBC's.

Eroids is a fucking gem! and we need to avoid any negative attention possible, and this situation could bring just that.

+1 for this thread, I think it turned an elephant in the room into a good discussion.

Owes a Review × 2
Denser's picture

Thanks a lot brother. I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. The 'elephant in the room' needed to step on some toes.

Denser's picture

Negative attention will certainly come this way and throughout the world of AAS. It's the ignorance of young men like this who are blinded by megalomania who ultimately bring negative attention when they break. Their parents, friends, neighbors, and religious leaders all vilify AAS as though it's the substance that's evil. We've seen it before. History repeats...

Darktide's picture

I think this is what he wants.. its a stage.. people watching, viewing doubting him - refuting him. lock this down and kill the competition - tell him to go inject whatever he wants with no audience and somehow the extremes seem to become lesser.

Summed up perfect! either way it ends bad for this community imo even if nothing this time around goes wrong. simply because the rest of us appear to be hypocrites IF we don't speak against it.

Denser's picture

I think this is what he wants.. its a stage.. people watching, viewing doubting him - refuting him.

Or by taking away his 'fix', his audience, he may go to the opposite extreme and do more gear in an attempt to regain an audience.

I'd like to actually stop referring to him specifically. This is a situation often seen with substance abuse or dangerous weapons. There's always someone who shouldn't have access to these potentially dangerous things because of their propensity to abuse, yet it's impossible to prevent. So he could be any 19 year old with this personality disorder.

j223's picture

As far as I can tell foolmeonce completely sees things differently from ALL other members of this site (well, most) He truly does not understand the consequences of running tren at 19 which means he's probably done multiple cycles. I have got into argument with him and he for whatever reason, insisted that I make a bet with him. Lol I don't give a damn about that guy and if he thinks he can gain 35lbs of raw muscle in 8-10 weeks. He's delusional and ignorant. But I'm not going to be a part of his "challenge" because even if he can gain 30lbs I don't approve of it. I don't think its cool for him to mess himself up just because he has something to prove. He must be severely insecure if he so strongly desires the attention from members here. Even if it means him running a heavy cycle with potentially dangerous compounds to gain the 35lbs he keeps bragging about.
He is going to learn the hard way I'm afraid. Oh well it is what it is. Hopefully he learns a thing or two and the part of his brain that is lacking gets fully developed because he sure could use some common sense.

Denser's picture

Good points.

cry_havoc's picture

Not to bring religion into this but; Am I my brothers' keeper?

I personally feel that if I have any leadership over any person be it respect, military or otherwise I have a responsibility to them.

The track analogy is apt for this situation. We do have a responsibility to ourselves and this community. I knew a guy who had just gotten out of prison doing contract work for me in construction. He was a sub and when asked it turned out he was put away after his third DUI. After the days work was finished his buddies started popping cold beers like it was normal. When he asked for one his friend simply told him he was not going to help him go back to prison. Anybody who engages this young man will be contributory to his future in AAS. No one can say for sure if it will do permanent damage or not. If he is hell bent on cycling and in a competition he is also likely to adopt the more is better attitude and not only cycle before his time but also irresponsibly. The best anybody can do with a young person is either decline to give them advice if they wont listen or mitigate the damage they will do by trying to talk them into a very light and sensible cycle. I'm talking like 300 a week and that's it. Not my first choice but certainly better then sending them off ill prepared to hurt themselves.

Darktide's picture

Damn so good to see you again! And your wisdom!!

cry_havoc's picture

Yeah I miss this site brother. I have been lurking around but have been covered with life at the moment lol! But I am on track for this November! Damn glad to be back Pank!

Darktide's picture

Glad all is well your presence was missed!

Denser's picture

Am I my brothers' keeper?

That's not necessarily a religious ideal, it's a moral and philosophical one. It's purely a subjective question. Is it required to be our brother's keeper? Absolutely not. I have no obligation to care for anyone on this planet. I do care because I want to. I was about to delve into a lengthy philosophical post, but it's getting to the point where this topic has been discussed extensively on this site already. So I digress...

Denser's picture

...Let em break it. If dude got warned...so be it

I completely agree. But this site shouldn't be a party to that destruction. At least that how high in regard I hold this site.

Denser's picture

...what to do?

Good question. He'll do what he wants regardless. And if... correction, when he breaks, maybe he'll learn then - too late. And so be it. I suppose that's just the risk/reward of a site like this. There's risk in everything, but I believe in mitigating risk whenever practical. And this seems to be a situation where it's not practical because you can't make people do the right thing. And the 'right thing' isn't always clear and simple.
