Hey Nitti I know you can appreciate the beauty of defence and counter punching. A gifted boxer will destroy a brawler 100% of the time. I not going to comment on my personal opinion on either fighters as men. Also anyone who thinks they know for sure what is going to happen has had very little experience in the fight business. Mayweather like Ali is a genius self promoter, whether you want to watch him get his ass kicked or watch him display his one in a lifetime skills you want to watch him.
If Floyd minus injuries and mistakes shows up and is his usual self he will win period. Canelo is everything one could hope for as a young champion minus the fact that he isn't Floyd Mayweather. What ever ring size that has been negotiated will play a big part in this fight because it is either catered to the boxer or the puncher. Has one who has fought in all size rings you wouldn't believe how much this can effect a fight. I am sure Nitti would agree. But that is my take. anything can happen but based on skill, experience, and strategy, I give the odds to Floyd .

If not I will never bet against Mayweather. His defense is like Nitti said the best the sport has ever seen. Plus Canelo simply doesn't move his feet any way but forward. He'll have to come up with a miracle if the judges/mayweather aren't bought!

AnonOrtiz had one good fight against Clottey IMO. Then he showed his true colors. To me embarrasing is what Mayweather did to Marquez. That was a demolishing where he practically went untouched while destroying Marquez from all angles and lead right hands. That's embarrassing. Mayweather outclassed Cotto. Never did he embarrass him. And truth, everyone has a punchers chance. This kid has a chance to do it. Ya never know. All it takes is one big punch. One mistake. Problem is he doesn't make mistakes. I watched the Cotto fight last night just because you brought it up. Do you know what the numbers were out of that fight? Cotto landed less than 20% of his punches. How is that not embarrassment bro? Floyd was actually cheating in and letting Cotto hit him just so he cousin throw a shot of his own. It was crazy!! When you hold you opponents to 20% or less and you land 50% or better. You're going to win every time. You know the game. Some points you make are valid. I don't think Ortiz ever belonged in the upper echelon. But that's my point. If the had him ranked number 2 at that time, what does that say about the competition for Floyd that's out there? He is head and shoulders above the rest. If you watch closely, he avoids punches that leave me scratching my head. Ill give you an example. They teach us very early on to never back straight up when you're on the defensive. Never back straight up and never lean back. Always side step or circle depending on what hand your opponent fights with. Floyd does both (leans and backs straight up) and still doesn't get hit. It's ridiculous. When they how cottos flurries in slow motion, it looked like he was landing Big in regular speed, but in slow mo he barely came close to landing anything clean. To hold a fighter like that to such a low percentage and to frustrate them to the point that they start head butting and shit, that speaks volumes. These guys I named were supposed to be the best in their class at the time. And they all get walked right through. When he decides he wants to end the fight. He turns it up and dominates completely. There was one point where Cotto landed a big punch (by accident) that Floyd leaned into. He got serious right after and landed 6 and 7 punch combinations without Cotto returning fire. Love him or hate him ,it is one hell of a show if you know what to look at. And to the guys who say he's old! Are you not paying attention? The man doesn't get hit! His body has taken no punishment and he is the best conditioned athlete on the planet. he isn't your typical 36 year old so you all can throw that argument out the window.

Its a simple sad fact that noone in developement now will be fundamentally or technically sound as floyd.... before floyd is too old to compete. Noone even coming up in the ranks has the time or backing to play at that level before he hangs up the gloves which im assuming will be in the next 2 years.... and thats frustrating to everyone who wants to see not only he but his uneventful "safe" style fail. Our best hope for that died with Paul Spadafora's downward life and career spiral. That kid had a gift... and he shit all over it.
