Oxygen at night ----------------------
ad
if you didnt notice - there is an add running on here from a company who sells CPAP..
the company is called ( resmed ) http://www.resmed.com/us/index.html
what it is , is a clean air machine (99.99% pure) thru a hepa - filter and you can add a
humidifier to that.. I was wondering if any one used one and what they thought of it..
( I am going to get one by the end of the year..I think its a great idea.)
just looking for some comments..

Most common use for a Cpap is for sleep apnea. A Cpap basically blows air to keep the pressure up so u don't stop breathing . I have horrible sleep apnea but my insurance won't cover it. The whole filter thing is cuz it blowing air into your sinus n mouth all night and the humidifier is so it don't dry out your sinuses or throat. Sounds all fancy but it does nothing more than keep you from stopping breathing in your sleep
AnonI have sleep apnea as well. My doctor told me that they are expensive and people usually abandon them after a while because of the noise or that they cant sleep because of it on their face. There is supposedly a "surgery" ( I know how much you like that word) that can be done now, to alleviate this.
Good to see you on the board brother.
AnonHmm I'll look at it. I know the Japanese went crazy over some kind of oxygen bars, and I was in an airport spa once that sold oxygen treatment. I cant imagine you could oxygenate a whole room though. Youd have to build a hyperbaric chamber for real oxygen therapy .
these are air filters..( high end)...the kicker with these things.. is that you need a Rx prescription for them.. I have found a place that you can get them with out. There used and reconditioned. You get a 6 month warranty for them. I cant see how it can be a bad thing to use. keep the crap out of the lungs while you sleep..( pollen, dust, etc.)
MilKmAnI deff would not buy something like that used, ESP if that was in a sick persons home...
I thought about that too.. If Im going to buy.. its going to be new..
about the same price..
