does testosterone affect scar tissue formation?

ad

so i remember reading that test lowers collagen synthesis and if im correct that is involved in making scar tissue.

so say you injure a muscle.. does this slow the formation of scar tissue in effect taking a longer time for the muscle to heal?

Here you go bro, posted that a while ago. Should help with a few questions you have.

don't worry about collagen or anything of that sort. Our bodies will effectively heal muscle or joints they way they need to. Collagen proteins are composed of amino acids.

Just eat lots of protein and carbs and let your body do the healing.

well i have to worry about it. let me elaborate..

years ago i suffered a deltoid tear in my front delt somewhere in the middle of it. i was a noob so i worked out through the intense pain. well nowadays it collects scar tissue and will periodically/frequently tear the scar tissue during my workouts resulting in some disfunction. well it has been happening and not seeming to heal up as quickly as it was when i was off cycle.. this is what led me to the question

A few things I would suggest trying. Obviously glucosamine is a must. Lots of water and a strong diet high in fats, carbs and protein (to allow your body the nutrients it needs)

if that doesn't work bring out the big guns. IGF-1 LR3 do that for 4 weeks 50mcg per day into your shoulder

if that doesn't work you can try peptides ghrp-2 + mod Grf 1-29
or
HGH about 3-4iu per day

use primo or anavar in your cycles those are great collagen synthesis increasing drugs and are not as harsh on the body as deca or winny

and one other peptide that is supposed to be the ultimate healing peptide TB500 (thymosin beta)

I have to disagree. Was eating 300g of protein a day with about 350g carbs. Cycled for about 5 months. Definitely could tell a change is tendon and joint integrity.

That's why you don't cycle for too long. If you do, make sure you run a compound that improves collagen synthesis. Such as deca, eq or primo.

As far as a muscle injury, testosterone would help. I'm running gh, low test and igf as a recovery cycle.

Solid input! I have to agree. There are compounds that can be run with test that give you the extra collagen needed like deca and eq.

well yes i know test raises protein synthesis and collagen is in your joints but i thought collagen also was your body's glue among other things to form scar tissue.

more specifically im referring to the affected rate of healing on a muscle tear for example
