Diet advice please.
ad
Alright Guru's please help me to correct my diet. I am doing 3 x 38grams of protein in Whey Isolate. That 114 grams of protein and three meals a day. My goal is for defined mass. On an average day, I get:
230-270 grams of protein
3000-4000 Calories
100-230 of Carbohydrates.
My diet consist of mostly meats such as Beef jerky, Steak, Hamburger, Meatballs, Chicken, shrimp, pork and ham. I also consume Olives, Tea, Apple Cider mix, Candy, Cereal, Pizza, etc. I take Vitamins as well. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks dudaroonis

this is exactly what I needed to know...
LOL, thats one hellva "diet" bro
My advice would be to drop all the protein shakes completely. Drop all processed foods completely. Your diet should be 6 meals per day of clean natural foods, ie rice/pasta/spuds/sweet spuds/quinoa/lentils etc etc for carbs. Protein should be coming from fish/chicken/lean red meat/eggs/whole grains also. Any oil you use should be olive/flax seed. Veg should all be FRESH. Leafy green veg like spinach, kale, broccoli, cabbage, asian brassicas etc etc lots of chilli, garlic, ginger, lemon grass.
Not hating on you bro but your current diet is terrible :( No one should be cycling unless their diet is 101%....especially me cause I know better lol.
Use the harris benedict formulae to determine your caloric needs, split it over 6 meals......NO carbs before bed. Last meal B4 bed would be steak/fish/chicken etc with a half ton spinach or green veg salad. If you need any diet help, feel free to email/pm me bro.
This is excellent advice, but why drop the shakes all together?
Because the majority of those shakes go down the toilet so your not only wasting hard earned cash but more importantly, your wasting valuable stomach space, space that can be utilised for "real" foods. The key to steady gains, on or off cycle, is to keep the body in a permanent positive nitrogen balance and that means a continual supply of complete proteins (as well as carbs vits fats etc etc). Drop a shake between meals and effectively your getting no real foods for 6 hours (1 meal every 3 hours).....Best thing you can do bro is to try it for yourself. Give it 8 weeks with no shakes and then make your decision.

230g Protein and 100g Carbs is ONLY 1,320 Calories.
Even with 270g of Protein plus 230g of Carbs you are ONLY sitting at 2000 Calories. (4 cals per gram of Protein, Carbs. 9 Cals per gram for Fat)
You are nowhere near even 3000-4000 Cals. What is your Fat intake?
Age?
Weight?
Height?
These all contribute to how much calories you should be taking in. You say your naturally skinny with a fast metabolism.. Eat carbs dude, clean carbs.. 350-500g per day. You should also have more than 3 meals per day.. split it up into about 6.
Good luck.
Alright, but I check the packaging on things and right down how many calories I take in. For instance, a shot glass of olive oil is about 570 calories, An apple cider has 160 calories, my protein shakes all together have 840. Is this wrong, am I missing something man?
I'm 28
5'10"
179lbs
I don't really eat much things that come in a pack. It's all Fish,Chicken,Turkey,Beef,,potatoes, etc. I just take the amount of Protein, Carbs, and Fat from that particular food and do the math to work out the calories(heaps of info around). The amount on your packs are good and all.. but instead of getting lets say 840 cals from your shakes, get that from solid food, that would be 210g of protein. Shakes are just supps. I would never supplement with a shake when I am able to have food.
Well thanks to every member that has contributed to my knowledge, I am learning more about dietary plans. I'm going with chicken, burger, peanut butter and digestive enzymes. maybe some fish. It is just so expensive.
beef jerky, hamburgers, beef in general are full of saturated fats.. cereal, pizza, candy , apple cider are full of carbs and shit, pork is full of sat fat, ham is full of fat and sodium.. im mean these things should be obvious.. i dont understand how u can not catch these things
You are right my man. Thanks, Chicken and fish for now on.

i ll let the sgt handle this one
I'm naturally skinny with a fast metabolism. I rarely put on fat. I have a tiny beer gut from a couple years ago. I also have a high tolerance to sodium. It does make me a little sluggish. Ham is high in calories man. A pound of steak has around 150 grams of protein. I can eat 2 a day and then some. Apple cider mix has plenty of calories, sugar and vitamin C to keep cortisol down. So you think Chicken and Fish are where it is at?
lean steak is fine, u have a fast metabolism so just eat more of the healthy stuff like turkey and whole grain wheat
