Niacin, Aspirin, and YOU!!

It’s no secret in today’s world that stroke, heart attacks and disease runs rampant…Daily these three things claims lives regularly…In the field I work in I am constantly surround by these big time life changers and killers in some instances…As a regular steroid user, my goal is to live a lifestyle that is healthy so I try to be mindful of the compounds I use and how much I use because the benefits don’t always outnumber the troubles that may occur…It’s no secret that AAS has a negative impact on lipids and blood pressure depending on compounds….Just those things alone can cause stroke and heart problems…I research constantly because there is more to just putting a needle in your ass and calling it complete…Our diets, nutritional supplements, training, blood work and genetic factors all dictate our outcomes whether they be a complete success or crash and burn…In this article I just want to touch on really two simple things that can help both your lipids and your heart as well optimize your gear…

First, let’s look at Niacin, also known as Vitamin B3, it’ well known for the assistance in energy production. It also has a positive effect on your lipids and plaque removal in blood vessels. Niacin can increase healthy cholesterol (HDL) by up to 35 percent and can reduce triglycerides by up to 50 percent. This has been proven clinically so this is not “bro-science.” This is concrete studies done in universities and has been proven in the cardiovascular side of medicine for quite a few years. Now, a lot of people know about niacin, but they chose a non-flush formula which is known as niacinamide. Niacinamide does not have the full benefits of the flushing version known as nicotinic acid. This nicotinic acid is the version of Niacin that will be beneficial for us. Let me explain why. Niacin (nicotinic acid) has a positive effect on vasodilation of blood vessels which allows for more blood circulation to take place bringing nutrients into the muscles and tissues. The itching and flushing is the histamine release because of the detoxification of the toxins trapped in those capillaries. The nicotinic acid has an effect on removal of plaque which clogs the vessels and causes a narrowing of them. Hence, you have decrease circulation and increase in heart disease and cardiovascular disease (CVD), not to mention the buildup of plaque which increases stroke chances in two ways. One the narrowing alone and the second would be the chance that the plaque breaks away and causes blockage or aneurysm.

Now the flip side to this with pathophysiology is let’s say you’re running HGH…The flushing with Niacin is actually the blood vessels and capillaries opening up and allowing for more RBCs and blood to pass through and allow more saturation on a cellular level…We know that HGH activates IGF-1 in the liver and cells…That’s means we get more IGF activity in cells and tissues…And u will have increased benefits…the same if you think about it with AAS and serum test levels…This is good stuff, huh?....I have two very close friends and one is a cardiologist and the other is internal medicine…they know my lifestyle and they both agreed that my research is correct and they have seen my blood work as well.

Now the recommended dosage for Niacin is 1500-3000mg daily or nightly is what I do before bed. A lot of people think that Niacin is toxic and it is if you take over 200,000mg. So I think we are safe LOL…Now I will tell you that you want to start at 500mg and work your way up…I always recommend a two week acclimation….500 for 2 weeks, then up it to 1000 for 2 weeks, then up its 1500 and so on….2000mg to me is plenty for anyone but in this case it’s all about tolerance… However, because niacin may raise blood sugar levels, diabetics should discuss this treatment with their doctor before trying it.

Aspirin is no secret. It has been used for years for prevention of stroke and heart attacks. Aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid and classified as an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and analgesic for pain. It also has the ability to thin the blood to allow better circulation and reduce heart workload. The studies on aspirin and its value are astronomical. The only negatives is unless you use a enteric coated then it can cause GI issues and an ulcer; the other is with the thinning of blood means less coagulation which in layman’s terms….”You bleed like a stuck pig”….. I find it to be in higher doses of aspirin. The dose I am talking about using is 81mg a day. Because of the NSAID properties I take it with my Niacin to reduce the flushing. This regimen can help reduce your blood pressure that is affected by the increase of RBCs that come with compounds such as Equipoise, Anadrol, Tren, and so on…The anticoagulation properties of aspirin is also beneficial when thinking of the increase of RBCs.

Bottom line is these two supplements should be a must have when on cycle because of their benefits and even more so on and off cycle if you have a family history of stroke, CVD, or heart attacks. Our goal in this lifestyle is to stay healthy and youthful. Just doing these little cost friendly things can enhance your cycles and health allowing for longevity. I hope I enlightened you guys on this and hope I encouraged the implementation.

It never ceases to amaze me how much mainstream medicine neglects to recognize the health benefits of such simple naturally occurring compounds, herbs, supplements, etc. Its always "hey here take some vioxx".

This has been one of the most valuable articles that I have read in my short time here (non-steroid). I am going to the nutrition store tomorrow and buying the shit out of some Niacin/aspirin.

Solid info brother I have a family history of heart disease on my moms side. Need to go back on the baby aspirin as well as check what does of niacin I am on. I had problems with it some in the past as I tended to get real flushed feeling. Thanks

really, really informative and well written! ive been looking more and more into these sort of supplements and the benefits of adding certain supps into my diet, and this is good shit man, thank you. awesome that you including dosing in here too, seems really obvious but you'd be surprised how much advice ive seen to take this or that, but not too often how much! going to add both into mine regimen of fish oil, vit c, multi, coq10, and apple cider vinegar. tumeric i'll be looking more into as well, once again read some solid advice from a very well respected member that knows his shit, but dosing wasnt in there lol. thanks again man!

Niacin is effective at lowering cholesterol but DO NOT take more than the recommended dose! I was advised by my physician to take OTC niacin for my cholesterol. Adopting a "more is better" approach I took double the recommended dosage. With in a week I became EXTREMELY ill with what I thought was the flu. My symptoms grew unbearable in the morning and evening (about 45 minutes after ingestion). My symptoms were accompanied by rapid heart beat. On my fourth evening battling this strange "illness" my wife grew concerned because I was extremely jaundiced, even my eyeballs were yellowed. I became violently ill that evening and came within a cunt hair (a modern cunt hair mind you, not a long bushy one from the 70's) of having my wife call an ambulance. There was about a 5 minute period I literally thought I was going to die. The next morning I felt a little better, did not take my niacin after my wife googled niacin overdose and cautioned against it, and I got better. I went to the doctor and she did bloods, my liver values were significantly elevated.
While I believe you are including a ton of great information, I want NO ONE to in any way be under the impression that niacin is safe to all in large doses.

Edit: I want to point out that not everyone may react the way I did.
I was on 2000 mg a day when I became I'll-just use with caution.
