+ 1 So lately I been noticing that there is quite a few more competitors on the site
ad
and im wondering what we could do as a site that would allow us to cater to them and make our site stronger, and where some of our up and comers could go to get some competitive advice. I thought of making a group, or maybe making a new section like competition talk or something of that nature. but collectively as a group i think that we could probably come up with some good ideas. So bring it on!

AnonThis is a great idea.....i plan to compete and talking with these guys can put me where i need to be..i have already got my diet laid out nicely......train like a mad man...and got the stock to do whatever.......maybe im not qualified to be a part of this group but would like to
id love to talk to some of the competitors. ive found a lot of these recent photos posted very inspiring. i would like to get help from the very beginning of my cycle coming up. this one isnt going to be for a show, but the next one will be, and i would like to make sure i accomplish my goals, before going on a cutter.
im here lets do it, who needs motivation?
the pro tag is a good fit for you bro. nice work
Congrats on your pro card well deserved!
phil113kgGood idea Roid Noid. It would be great to talk shop with others on the same level or higher.
How many women competitors do we have ??? anyone have a clue...........
a handful of them ..
RustyhookerAn open talk competitor group would help them from also getting rooked "paying"" for advice others give for free.
AAS & HGH etc usage has more of a predominant role in bodybuilding then in any other sport imo. I know being a pro fighter there is terminology, strategy, techniques, and etc that only other semi pro and pros would understand. So I think it would be a great Idea to have a section for all the serious competitive BB's to be able to go without the interference of someone like myself who would only slow down the pace of the discussion. And for all other aas users who are TRT, recreational, etc, we already have above and beyond what we need here.
My only other suggestion is that I know some pros or semi pros don't seem to have a big concern about their names or faces being shown meaning those from the US. I will say this from first and knowledge and because of my military background I have worked with certain three letter agencies. I will never forget when I was in a South American Country, a certain station chief say to me "The Bigger the Headlines the Bigger the funding"! Now some here in the past have argued "what is the big deal if LE knows if I use"? I will say this if you are a BB and on you tube and magazines and, you are known to obtain aas through a internet medium site. Here is the headline "Famous BB busted and investigators tracked the said BB through "Censored" site! Then Congress will say we are winning against these online black market sites funding will role to said agency. If anyone thinks this is ridiculous speculation, you are whoa fully ignorant. Agencies are about headlines for funding and even though it would be a pathetic bust it looks big time because you are on you tube. I love this site and owe much gratitude to BFG & the mods, so I hope the competitive BB's get catered to I believe they have earned it in their realm but lets be tight on exposure. Just my .02
Agreed .. Exercise caution at all times.. on another note.. i love this site! Also alot of these pros pay for thier secrets. im not sure they would want to share something they pay for in an open forum so i assume they could have thier own private group..good job to all our pros on this site!!
I think it would be great to have a group available for competition advice. I have done some local bodybuilding events but I am going to take it a step higher now. I am looking at entering my first NPC event in October and it would be great to have a group to discuss competion preparation topics.
tread-mA thought I had which is one BFG and I have discussed and I think you may have actually been in on some of thatg just can't remember...grow the EBC interest to the degree we haved to eventually break it up into a large general EBC comp as is now but have comps within the comp as well that would be similar to and actually BB comp and have groups such as 40+, pro, womens physique, mens physique etc etc. Each compl would depend on the number of participants in a given category before we could have a sub-category. Such as if 5 or more request mens physique then that particular comp would have a mens physique class.
This all of course still offering the "start to finish most improved to goal" EBC as it is now. This comp as it is today is the only one like it so I love that a complete newb can compete and they are judged on their overall results during the comp as opposed to only finished product.
Just some thoughts going through my head there assuming the EBC continues to grow and attract different levels of interets and competitors.
This also would potentially need additional sponsorships other than just gear but Eroids is HUGE! So many peope here in every industry on earth so I think finding sponsors of a different tyle might not be as hard as the norm in an event....our members become family of sort and would love to find ways to help I am sure!
Awesome idea! bring on the 40+ comp. I'm down!
tread-mThat's the eventual goal brother.
el super beastoGreat idea..hell yeah.
I think it's a good idea. Not everyone wants to compete, but for those trying to get their feet wet it'd be good to have a group set-up for knowledge sharing.
Guys starting out usually need help with:
Posing---how to hit mandatories correct
Contest Color---do's and don'ts
Peak Week---finally week of prep
Day of Show---what to bring with you in your gym bag
Maybe dedicated spot for BB Pics---Guys would hit all mandatory poses and get feedback on their technique and also conditioning, if they're on track or not.
Posing Routine---Feedback on Music selection etc..
Copy of NPC contest schedule for the year: for state side competitors--http://npcnewsonline.com/schedules/npc-2013-bodybuilding-schedule/
just a few ideas....
this is all good stuff right here, we could open a new section and get some of these type of threads stickied. im liking the idea!
this would be awesome lol
In addition to the above, could offer a template that is used to input logs. Guys can input cycle log, Food / macronutrient Log, Training Log. Things of that nature. That way all aspects are exposed for guys to critique and also for others to get an idea of what goes into prepping for a show. Probably would need a different template for each type of log.
Just some more ideas while I wait for my shift to end
uh FR sent bro you just hit everything i have questions on lmao. First show in a month
Accepted
AnonGreat idea. Eroids needs it bro
