Buildbigger86What a little baby he is. Word's cant even describe how much my heart goes out to his family at this time. It is so horrible to see you a young child pass and so hard on the parents as well. 8 years old jesus what is this world coming to. He was starting his life, slowly starting to know who he was as a person, have his dreams up being a doctor or a fireman or an astronaut etc.. This is beyond upsetting to me at this moment as you look into his little eyes and has no clue how to truly understand how horrible this world can be. Also him holding up his sign he made himself saying "NO MORE HURTING PEOPLE" "PEACE" just makes me want to breakout in tears.
Death is always a tough and hard thing to deal with but nothing is worse then and innocent child being killed out of cold blood. He will never be able to have the chance to experience anything you and i take for granted ever single day. After seeing this you realize how luck you are to be alive and have good people in your who you love and they love you back. This is just too much. I cant even discuss this anymore as i keep looking into his little eyes and his smile he is cracking. I will be praying for him and his family tonight.

Took a walk to the park last night for the candlelight vigil. Nice turnout. Can't wait to find out who's responsible. There's so many cameras in this city I'm surprised it's taking this long. Having the National Guard blocking off part of the city and hanging around the subway is freakin eerie.

fusion, that is a topic Ive been wanting to discuss all of my life, and whats funny is, no atheist or true believer ever feels comfortable about talking about that. Its very sad. Maybe if we all agreed on that we would treat other people a lot nicer if we knew there was no redemption, no angels and rainbows, and no "karma" and no....maybe, just maybe....there is no eternal scorekeeper in the sky for good deeds. WE MIGHT HAVE TO TAKE THAT RESPONSIBILITY! Great thought. Sadly its the wrong board for it. Funny, even my dad who is 87 yrs old refuses to answer me directly when I ask him if he feels any different about God now than he did at age 21.Like most of us, he will hide from that thought until the moment he dies. Best joke of the century: I KNOW HE'S IN A BETTER PLACE. Why? Because we feel God owes it to us, or that person? Maybe God has different destinies for us than we can ever know. Or..none! Thats because believers aren't allowed to question gods word, either because they believe they're going to burn endlessly in the fires of hell for thinking any other way or be shunned by family or the community for going against whats 'right'. As for atheists, I pretty much guarantee they've met with some serious flak for their opinion on the topic. Can't expect them to be comfortable with it unless they know you've got an open mind and not gonna judge or categorize them or crucify them.
Personally I think there is an intelligent entity out there that could be comparable to god, at least not in the classical sense. I've also seen some crazy shit in my life that science in its current state couldn't hope to explain, enough to make an unseen non-physical world/dimension viable, to me at least. I wouldn't write-off the existence of God, the Devil, angels, demons, karma etc with certainty. As for God being this expressly benevolent father figure who rewards/punishes those he sees fit by some preconceived score and rules sheet he concocted in god fking knows when, thats where I have some... major problems.
As for debating religion..... you don't argue religion... it doesn't end well...
