Karma is real
I never really believed in Karma. I always believed that the most aggressive gets what they want, no matter what they do. So i decided to try something out... I tried to actually be a good person. I donated to the homeless, I supported my friends in their hard times, bringing people up..etc. while i was not rewarded directly by the people i was helping. I was rewarded in a weird way.
I noticed ever since I tried this theory out, I have had nothing but good luck.. and its crazy because i am a scientist. karma and logic dont mix or at-least i dont see how. yesterday, i was accidentally speeding and the cop pulled me over, then he let me go, no ticket. I also feel much happier, and luckier and good things keep happening to me... also feel like bad things that were coming my way some how deflect.... I know its weird and not logical.. but ever since i tried this i have been rewarded

AnonEven if nothing comes back to you that you see, the reward inwardly for good deeds is priceless.
I will never stop pulling over for people in distress, or helping a child find their mom, or giving what little I can to a good cause. It just feels too good to help out.

AnonJust because you do something good for another person and something good happens to you doesnt mean its karma. Bad things happen to good people. Bad things happen to bad people. Its coincidence. It is silly to believe in karma.
AnonDo you believe that people respond differently to you when your happy ?
For example you go in to a deli to order lunch and you have a big smile on your face and greet them with a good afternoon ! Or you go in skulking or looking angry and just order ?
I can tell you for sure that people feed off my smile, and I get a lot better response, service and sometimes price when Im happy .Many people have even admitted to me that my smile made them happier
So, if doing something good for someone makes me happy, and that reaction makes someone else want to do something nice for me, is that not in some sense like karma ? Theres a real truth to the saying "pay it forward" and whether you want to call it karma or not it works.
Terephthalic Pt...Come on man really? Why do you have to be such a downer. Now I don't believe in karma either, but don't hate on other people's beliefs. Who does believing in Karma hurt? No one. It even helps a lot of people pursue a more altruistic lifestyle which makes the world a better place.
If people want to believe in their modified version of Karma then let them. Calling people's beliefs silly is just antagonistic and does nothing to make them believe what you believe anyway. People will believe what they want to believe in the end anyway.

Terephthalic Pt...Karma affects you in your next life. So anything you do in this lifetime (according to Buddhists at least) will not effect your current life.

I share the same thoughts for the most part. I help people because i want to, not because i look at the end results. It's the freedom from outcome that sets a person who deserves karma apart from a person who doesn't deserve karma and is craving it.

IMO Its all about having a positive attitude, if your always positive then positive things will happen to you.. Thats what i believe in.
not gonna lie...sometimes it does but there is such thing as being too nice. im that guy who will do anything to help friends or family and will go out of my way to be nice to people for no reason and lately i have just been gettin fucked hard. but shit man good to hear its workin for you
