AnonPY can pack a punch, their technology may be outdated and their people starving but they believe in what they are doing which is more dangerous than any nuke. I doubt they have the capability to attack the US on mainland but it doesn't mean they can't do damage, plus we have no idea what they have built underground. If they were smart (and don't think they're not) they would have built sustainable underground cities for quick and quiet mobility. Go deep enough and no amount of bunker bombs or nuclear warheads would do any damage. Their biggest threat isn't nukes, it would be their artillery.
They've been planning for this for longer than most of us have been alive, I wouldn't dismiss them so easily. Not to mention what other Countries might jump in to show support for the destruction of the US, Iran comes to mind as does Russia. China would probably stay neutral unless we show signs of weakening, I don't see them coming to the aid of the North in any way other than food and medical.
If I were in charge, I would however have a preemptive strike force ready to respond if they show any signs of throwing the first blow, a force so catastrophic that it would leave their entire country in ruins for the next 50 years. Nothing nuclear of course. I would target their artillery the hardest, disable them before they even have a chance to fire. Simultaneously targeting any kind of missile systems above ground and any entrances/exits to known underground tunnels. Might not be able to destroy them but you can slow them down enough to give you more time for a proper assault.

North Korea is a joke. Remember last year they tested their long range ballistic missiles? They were duds. Fell out of the sky into the ocean. They recently tested mid range missiles capable of carrying nuclear war heads. They made it out of the atmosphere but its not realistic to assume they could do us any damage. We do however have a very large military presence on the North/South Korean boarder. I suppose they could attack South Korea and harm our men.

I'm not to worried about N korea. We would shoot their missles down way before they got close but then we would have to retaliate. Honestly we would probably just make a call to Israel and get mossad after them. They do most of our dirty work.

The 6 day war. 1967 all of its Arab neighbors invaded. Israel crushed all of them and had them on their knees in 6 days. I'm sure they are much more powerful now with all their American weapons
AnonYeah with a lot of our major weapons like tanks and jets yeah but what a lot of people don't know they have some of the best small arms in the world. Most of there small arms are created and design by their military and put in production.
I have trained the IDF and trained with them as well. I will say this anyone who can be as accurate with an uzi as the soldiers that I have met from the IDF have my respect lol.

Not the way they used it though right:P. Did you know that back in the mid 70s up to the late 80s the US Secret Service carried the Israeli Uzi, as their Presidential Detail preferred weapon. The funny story behind it was that the Shayetet basically Israel's equivalent to our Navy SEALs came over to do joint training with the SEALs. There was a Secret Service Agent in charge who saw their proficient use of the uzi. So he recommended that they adopt it as their prime cover weapon and they did. But none of the could get the muzzle control like the Shayetet so then they kept the weapon on as a fear deterrent against a multiple ambush of the President but they were instructed to not fire it only pull it. While those with the 38s and 357s were the designated shooters lol. I don't want to keep hijacking the OP's thread but anyone who is a friend of Israel is good in my book!

I have a friend stationed in SK right now that jokes about the border forces being nothing but a speed bump to sliw down an attack while waiting on the 82nd and 101st lol. If NK does mobilize they will roll over the SK border and completely level Seoul with artillery within 24hrs. I don't think the US really wants any type of true conflict, China's inevitable rise to the worlds dominant superpower has the UN walking on eggshells... China enjoys NK as a "buffer" communist nation, and I'm 99% certain they will keep NK in check.

I heard a discussion today that stated that missile is known to be ineffective, unreliable, and poses no real threat to anyone. It just sounds like N Korea doing more posturing . Id hate to think our boys would go to die over more posturing.
