need help tweaking my cutting diet
Okay so im new here but have done a lot of reading into all sorts of diets to be using and what to eat and when to eat it and I've come up with my own diet. I dont really count calories but I watch what I eat. Im just wondering what you would tweak on it to make it even better. Im currently 5'11" 203lbs. and 15% bf. Trying to cut down to 9-10%
Im 2 weeks into my test E, anavar cycle. 500mg test/wk for 10 weeks and 50mg var a day for 8 weeks.
My daily diet is roughly about 1900-2000 calories and includes:
Meal 1: 1 cup oatmeal
Meal 2: protein bar
Meal 3: pistachios
Meal 4: 6 oz chicken breast, 1/4 cup quinoa, 1 cup broccoli
Meal 5 (post workout): 2 scoops whey protein
Meal 6: 6 oz chicken breast and 1 cup broccoli
Sometimes I also exchange my breakfast with 5 eggs instead of oatmeal.
I am currently in a fire academy doing 1 hour of demanding physical training a day plus drilling all day. Then I usually go to the gym and lift at nights.
Let me know what you think would be helpful to tweak and would help me reach my goal by the time my cycle is over. Thanks

shirlsguyThis is going to sound horrible, but it is meant nicely... you need to count your own calories. If you want single digit bf, from mid-teens, well, you have to count it. You say you're taking Var and Test-E, well you don't take 'more-or-less' a dose do you? Why should diet be less important?
Finally, if you can't count the calories, you won't be able to count the carbs as they are just a sub-set of total intake.
Pistachios as a 'meal'???? hmmmm might re-think. I ONLY use nuts for replacement of essential fats that I have almost eliminated at every other meal. How many pistachios?
AnonYeah I was counting calories but I make the same exact meals every single day with slight substitutions every once in a while. Such as mixed vegetables instead of broccoli. Not big changes. AndI use pistachios as a meal since I dont really get a break from 1-5 and that's all I can really do. I have 1/2 cup

Check this link and see what you think.... nice calorie count.... but 67% from fat and very little protien. Now, I don't advocate meal replacement drinks, but this is the perfect situation.... pack a shaker with a scoop of whey powder (a good one with all essential amino acids) and a half pint of skim milk. Take two sets and mix them every two hours.
For me, roasted (unsalted) nuts is about 12 each.
Well, you should start by adding protein at meals 1 and 3. You want a protein source at every meal. 6 meals a day, 50 grams at every meal would be 300 grams protein = 1200 calories from protein. Time one of your meals about an hour or so before your workout and make sure that meal has carbs in it. Carbs at breakfast too. That alone will help kickstart your fat loss. And looks like you are doing tons of exercising everyday. You need carbs son. If you don't have fuel for the exercise your body will turn to protein and muscle. Less muscle = slower metabolism.
this diet needs about 80% improvement bud. heres a link to carb cycling. enter your info and they will give you ideally what you should be eating.

Unless you can sit down and really talk to someone specifally about how foods react to your body, it's very diffcult to write someon a great diet. Their are great diets to follow, yet they all need tweaking due to everyones body reaction to amount of food, times, etc...heres something to base it off of though....greatest thing i can say is drink plenty of water, get tons of rest, write down a diet and stick to it, and work your ass off in the gym, and the resulsts will come.
AnonYeah I told my physical trainer my goals and she recommended this. But I've been interested in carb cycling. How effective is it? And when youre done cutting and you go back to normal amounts of carbs will your body be able to handle it without putting the weight back on?
