Overtraining or not training enough

ad

I just did 48 sets of 8-9 reps on my back straight for 1 hour and 30 min . Sad thing is I'm used to staying in the gym for 3 hours w/ cardio. So it doesn't feel right, feels like I could do more because I can still walk . What u guys do on cycle? How many sets and reps per workout?

Lack of appetite is a big sign of over training people always seem to over look. On cycle I can train for hours if I wanted set after set after set. There's no need.
stimulate the muscle get out and get eating, your wasting your time in the gym training like this unless your some sort of endurance athlete it's a pointless activity, your just going to deplete all your energy levels so far down it will take your bodies nervous system and energy stores longer to recover. This is why some may lose their appetite because the body has no energy and is so fatigued to digest the food. A clear sign the body is under to much stress. A good days eating and rest is as good as a day at the gym.
But if your gaining muscle this way and your reaching your goals you have set don't change it because it must work for you.
On leg day I spend about no longer than ninety minutes in the gym as its half my body and a lot of muscle tissue to stimulate, I don't know how anybody could justify spending 90minutes training shoulders or chest

To me this is def. overkill even on gear. Why would you need 48 sts for back?

That seems like alot for one bodypart especially if you were going to failure on each set. Just watch out for the signs of overtraining such as fatigue and weakness. Training is the stimulus for growth, the growth occurs when you rest. If you are training to hard and not recuperating enough from your workout, gains will be diminished.

From what i've read that you eat and seeing your cycle as long as you get plenty of rest i think you good, Thats just my opinion tho. If i feel good and can last that long i will keep going. My last back workout i think was 26 sets

Here's a little video on what CT Fletcher thinks about over training, quite funny actually!

I do 4 to 5 excercises with 5 sets 8-10 reps,48 is crazy amount of sets for just one muscle group imo.. wow.

I like to go till the pump is too bad to continue ...it varies night to night but with the compounds u are taking and if you are putting down enough food the recovery will be there...that's what I've always thought at least

Well I'm right now 1000% anabolic , just feels like I should be doing more . Kinda of disappointed with the progress. Only up 6lbs in 3 weeks. I think I ll load up on some chicken and come back at night

Remember you are cutting so you could be up 6 pounds in muscle but down 6 lbs in fat so that's a 12 lb gain...in greedy and expect results right away too but sometimes u have to sit bak and let things fall into place
