+ 1 I WANT SCIENCE
ad
So for the last week or so i've been suffering from sore nipples. I am on prami and arimidex and trust me, i've been hammering it. Current cycle being test and tren, obviously it is prolactin induced. I talked to my doc who had never heard of prami, bromo, or caber (he is my trt endo) and gave me some compounded progesterone cream. I went home and rubbed it on my wrist and BOOM, Lumps gone, zero pain. Within.. 3 hours.
I think it has actually increased my libido as well.
Im just looking for the science behind this. I believe tren may actually not increase progesterone after this event, maybe only prolactin?

You can actually have your TRT doc prescribe test cyp with progesterone mixed in. It's standard test cyp with the exception that it includes 5mgs of progesterone.
Wow, hmm would that block prolactin related gyno in a similar fashion?
No. Progesterone regulates estrogen. Progesterone is also a precursor to testosterone. Progesterone levels go down when estrogen levels go up.
Its really difficult to understand lol but basically testosterone - estrogen - progesterone
all work best when balanced
That's the idea. I've also seen it dosed with only 2.5mgs of progesterone. Might ask about it next time. Sounds like the cream worked really well for you though.
My main question is wouldn't this mean progestetone related gyno is a myth/misconception amd actually prolactin is the cause? That's what wowed me. To be honest when I first rubbed the cream on I was expecting a pair of tits to come out of it
Progesterone does not cause prolactin gyno.
Progestins -( ie tren, deca) are considered progestins in their chemical makeup but are different from actual progesterone. Tren and Deca and other progestins can cause an increase in prolactin.
I'm not completely sure how, honestly. All I know is that progesterone will not cause prolactin gyno.
Once again it has to do with the balance of test/estrogen/progesterone and taking drugs like deca can throw off that balance.
Prolactin is actually a result of low dopamine. I know many things can cause low dopamine, such as low thyroid hormone (hypothyroid) or basically a hormonal imbalance.
It is suspected that thyroid hormone levels are reduced while taking tren or deca
We will know Monday. I am hypo and I had my labs ran today. I'm on tren currently so if any decrease in thyroid function I'll know Monday.
What's it called?
Progesterone cream. Its the literal hormone. It was prescribed and I got it filled at a compounding pharmacy. Apparently it absorbs through your skin.
I thought it would have a specific name. That's excellent that it works!
