Input from those who know the pain relieving power of deca
ad
I have used deca, and I have severely arthritic joints. Deca worked wonders to alleviate the pain.
So my question is directed to anyone who has used or felt the pain relieving quality of deca.
Have you used Equipoise, and how does it compare in joint relief . I have heard its good, not as good but still helps. So can anyone who has ran both on separate occasions please let me know .

Deca blows EQ away IMO. Deca makes my joints feel great and I think EQ is generally garbage.
Bump
EQ helps my joints for sure. I've ran deca and EQ and feel no difference with joints on cycle.
Equipoise actually has causes more collagen synthesis than deca
AnonThanks thats good to hear. Nitti pointed out below about collagen 1 or 3, I wonder which the EQ helps , do you know ?

I thought deca was type 3 also but I'm not sure. I do know that EQ and deca increase the cross linking integrity of the connective tissue (to help makes joints stronger) as well as increase bone mass and density.
deca, eq, var, primo all increase type 1, 2 and 3 but some more then others.
Nitti was correct in saying that deca could possibly mask joint damage. I think if your joints are just a little weak and need to bulk up then deca or EQ or anavar will help. But if you really have an injury that needs to be fixed its not a good idea to take deca to get rid of the pain. If the pain cannot be fixed by surgery then deca might be of help.
Anavar is also used medically to help repair connective tissue
Anonthe pain came long before resuming weight training. Ive live with it for years, so its not a matter of the joint catching up, and unfortunately its not an injury either. Ihave been told deca works great as an anti inflamitory and perhaps thats what I felt.
I get a fair amount of temporary relief whilst on a deca cycle from a few mangled discs in my spine and a laberal tear in my hip. Less so from EQ, but with either the important thing is like Nitti said it's temporary and sometimes a "lull before the storm". For me, particularly the hip injury backs off whilst on cycle maybe 30%, probably gets overworked with heavier squats than usual etc then feels way worse after cycle.
If you're using deca to mask pain, remember it's doing just that. It's masking it, not repairing it.
It will relieve pain in the joints by increasing type 1 collagen. However, this is just masking the issue. Type 3 collagen is what repairs connective tissue. When Deca increases the type 1, it throws off the balance of type 1 to 3. The ratio alone will do more damage when the deca stops working. There is some interesting science to back this up. I can look for some of the studies iv'e read. In a nutshell , it will ease pain, but hurt you in the long run. IGF-1 is the only thing iv'e heard of that can actually repair connective tissue. A common misconception is that hgh will help repair joints. False. There is no scientific proof to back up this claim. Muscle injuries? Yes! Joints? NO! I say look into igf-1 and if you use deca, proceed with caution. Either way, research. Don't take my word for it
AnonThank you Nitti, Ive used deca for a long run and yes found out some negative sides, but I am all better now and was thinking of getting back on, which is why I also thought I could go back on with EQ, but pain relief is what Im ultimately after.
I have used IGF LR3 before, but it was the prolactin issue that first lead me to stop igf, and then soon after stop deca.

IGF does not increase prolactin im 99% sure. Thats HGH your thinking of.
AnonCould not find anything that said HGH increases prolactin, but I did FIND HEXORELIN, GHRP2 AND GHRP6 all increase cortisol and prolactin. I thought IGF did too, but I'll keep looking.
yes hex, and the ghrps do increase prolactin but not IGF-1 LR3
OK....but the use of GH raises your IGF-1 levels and keeps them elevated for up to 48 hours after 1 pin. So...there is a two-pronged attack to using GH then? Muscles AND joints.
That's interesting about deca and collagen type ratios...I'll have to look into this more. Deca was awesome...I can't wait to run it again, lol.
