+ 1 Dave Palumbo Keto Diet - My experience

I started lifting on 1/14/12 with no prior experience. I was 6' 250lbs at unknown body fat but I would say easily 30%. On 7/25/12 I had my body fat tested I was 225lbs at 20% with a very basic diet plan, 3 day split routine, and 40 min steady state cardio 3 times a week.

2193 cals 182g protien 221g carbs 59g fat

As of 1/1/13
34 years old 6' 226lbs and I am going to have body fat tested at the end of January. With no pump or flex of any kind Chest is 42", Waiste at belly button is 39" (36" for pants size), Arms 16.5", Forearms 11.5", Neck 17", thights 23", and calves 16.5". I dont know if any of that info is helpful but just incase.

Diet
Breakfast: Whey protien two scoops of Body Fortress, 8oz coconut milk, and half cup oatmeal mixed in.

Snack: Natty PB 1 tablespoon, Medium Mission Low Carb shell, and Greek Yogurt

Lunch: 4 oz grilled chicken with tiger sauce, Brocc

Afternoon snack: 8 oz grilled chicken with tiger sauce, Broc

Dinner: 8 oz grilled chicken with tiger sauce, Quiona

Post work out and before bed Whey protien two scoops of Body Fortress, 8oz coconut milk

Supps: Vitamin C and Fish Oil.

2278 cals 224g protien 131g carbs 61g fat

Routine was 4 day split with 30 min cardio 3 times a week.

I had not seen a change in weight for the past three months and over the summer I had tried to tweak my diet to continue a 1lb a week weight loss but I did not progress at all on the scale or in the mirror.

Upon the advice of a memeber on this forum I switched to Dave Palumbo Keto Diet.

1/17/13

Currently 6' 219lbs and see a good difference in the mirror.

I stick to the exact diet and do not change anything on it. I measure and weight everything exactly. My day starts at 4:30 am with a 45 min 3.4 mile fast walk 5 days a week and a 4 day split routine.

Week 1:

My experinces and sides so far have been very mild. I did experince the weakness and low energy in the gym the first week but I pushed thru every workout. I did not get any headaches or dizziness but I did require 2 redbulls a day to get thru the workday for energy. I would drink the zero sugar zero carb redbull.

1/12/13 weight at 222.4 and small change in mirror.

Week 2:

No side effects are noticed as far as headaches or dizziness. Strenght has gone down but energy levels in the gym are fine. Workouts are to failure but no pumps. Energy thru the day is still on the lite side.

1/17/13 weight at 219 with continued changes in the mirror

I am writing this incase somebody else is at a point they are stuck with fat loss. I am in no way a expert or have a great knowlegde of what I am doing but I am learning what works for me as my body changes.

My goal is to get to 12 - 14 percent body fat or lower to prepare for my first cycle in septemeber. I started with the goal of going for 10 weeks but seeing the changes I will continue until I reach a body fat I am happy with and then maintain until september.

Update: 2/14/13

I am coming to the end of week 6. Currently 212 with a 38.5" measured around my belly at my navel. This shows me at 20% BF with a 1" loss around my mid section. Diet and cardio has not changed.

2% BF loss (estimated from online clacs)
2.33 lbs a week loss
Muscle mass appears to be no loss with chest at 43", arms at 16.5", legs at 24" and calves at 16.5"
Upper abs have appeared but nothing crazy just outlines.

good work brotha! you might want to check out xvbeast and dossiers group on diets for some more tips. i would encourage you to keep your log in there so other people can benefit from it as well.
