I don't like weight gainers... They are full of bullshit calories, not quality vitamin enriched cal. If u are wanting something simple for a diet the best way I can put it is: given your size. I would recommend 240g protein, 360g carb in six meals a day. So 40g pro, 60g carb per meal. This diet you posted gives you great ideas of where these calories need to come from. Now comes the part that I find fun? You have to pay attention to your body. Watch the changes that are taking place. If weight is coming on too fast (gaining fat) drop carbs down some. This is how you get to know ur body brudda. The other things I will stress to ya is min a gallon of water a day, and pay attention to your sodium intake. Some of the foods on that diet plan you posted are processed. I avoid processed foods. The more whole food sources you can use the better. Less sodium and higher nutrient content.
Great thats really useful thanks! What kind of processed food would you suppliment with whole foods?
Whole foods to use: brown rice, whole oats not instant, sweet potatoes, lotsa green veggies, couscous, red potatoes use these foods instead of bread, tortillas, pasta (use whole wheat pasta if eating pasta). It really depends on how strict you wanna go?
That seems to be an easy change to make! I can adjust that diet pretty easy. Hopefully ill see some results in a few months. I will keep you posted! Thanks
It depends on alot of things i am in no way a diet guru but these guys cant help u much without your stats and goals....gaining weight loosing weight or maintenence? U wanna bulk, cut, loss bf, gain muscle ect. We neede hieght weight age bf% and your general workout routine to help out
Hey thanks thepullmanator. I am looking to bulk and drop my bf. I'm a complete amateur and my stats are height:180cm weight: 74kg bf: is around 20% and I am 24
My background is martial arts I've been doing that for 15 years, but to be honest it's always kept my weight down. I've never really watched what I eat but I would like to be round 80kg but lean muscle. I also go to the gym 3 times a week for weight training and again I'm no expert!
