Blood Pressure Medication

ad

I've been on blood pressure medication a couple times in my life. Right now, pre cycle it's not high, but it's borderline. I have no doubt it's going to jump during the cycle. I'm wondering if I should talk to my doc and basically tell him I've been monitoring it and it's been high lately and see if he will put me back on medication so that I can take it during my cycle.

Anyone ever take bp meds during cycle? High BP runs in my family..I'm at a genetic disadvantage in this area. lol

I have one, not sure how that helps though, lol. Makes it worse for me..too easy to get a cup of coffee.

Thanks all. I do cardiovascular although lately I've eased back a little and I believe it's what helps keep it so I don't need medication. I could ease up on caffeine but I'm not ashamed to admit I'm addicted. I needs me some coffee lol. I'm going to play it safe and talk to him about starting meds. Although I'm not happy to hear others have similar issues I'm glad that it seems to be manageable.

Take it still, you won't have any problems.

I just ran my first cycle 600mg/wk and have been on BP meds for over two years. All was fine, sometimes my BP elevated but not in the danger zone of oh shit. Just monitored it 3 times a day and was ready to pull the plug if needed. Of course not having my diet dialed in and cheat days might have attributed. If your Doc is cool, why not be straight up and let the professional monitor!

I do realize that is a risk. I could be nieve here but that's why i want to talk to my doc about the medication. It's def. not high now but I could see it going that direction from what I've been reading. I do plan on monitoring it daily to keep a close eye on it. If I take a preemptive strike and get on medication, I would think it would only help keep it lower.

You might not like this, but I think running gear isn't a smart thing to do with blood pressure problems. If you are going to do it despite the risk, I'd urge you to have a fairly open and honedt chat with your doc about it.
