Sleep aid for the wife
ad
My wife is currently taking phentermine to lose a few more pounds. She also needs to take ambien in the pm in order to sleep due to the sides of the phentermine. Is there a better alternative to the ambien as a sleep aid? Perhaps a peptide? Any advice would be appreciated. The doctor office visit outweighs the cost of picking up the ambien legitimately.

I saw this post dated back a few weeks... What did you guys decide on, and is it working? I'm having the worst time sleeping I don't think he has anything to do with anything i'm on.. just don't sleep.
Like a huge %age of people who use amfetamines & amfetamine-like medicines male or female, counteraction is necessary. A further problem in my personal condition is obstructive sleep apnoea. Now the BNF's first line Rx for a stimulant weightloss med which also has an effect against this diagnosis is modafinil, available in the UK only as the extremely expensive brand Provigil™, but I am unable to use that for medical reasons too lengthy to post much about. Therefore, off-label Dexedrine, up to 30mg daily, half of the clinical maximum dosage ("Do not use after 18:00") is used to kill two birds with one stone, uncommonly. Due to medical history, as I posted elsewhere on the forums, I have to ensure constant possession of a strong, fast-acting anxiolytic, by preference 2.5mg lorazepam tabs or 2mg alprazolam.
However for sleep, Ambien™, the American brandname for zolpidem tartrate more commonly known as Stilnoct™, now known to be much more toxic than benzodiazepine hypnotics and with such a tolerance profile as to be virtually useless after night #3, also about fifteen times the price of flunitrazepam, very useful as on top of being by far the cheapest, it has the longest half life of any commonly prescribed hypnotic. Ideally simebody in your wife's position should have sleep aids of three different families to completely rule out cross tolerance; none I know of interact poorly with phentermine, now not prescribed in the UK. Almost any hypnotic is a better alternative! Flunitrazepam for reasons explained; lormetazepam, the thienodiazepines brotizolam and etizolam; Seconal or Tuinal; and the one I find most effective at two nightly when required, Toquilone Compositum, a combo of methaqualone 250mg and diphenhydramine 25mg - now made only by Medichemie in Switzerland and I believe by a Cabadian company but can't confirm that.
When weight is a problem, as my severely restricted mobility caused over the last few years, I think it has to be fealt with before any other consideration of body and it is going to br inevitable that other problems such as sleep, SVT, anxiety are likely, then discuss the rotation I use as above with trainers and especially medical professionals. The correct adjuncts to your chosen phentermine (shorter term use recommended because of cardiovascular problems reported in 2008/9 Duromine study, which looked into sleep disturbances as well.
Quality and safety in any regimen must be of top priority and every person is different!
