You could have an infection (worst case) Your muscles weren't relaxed in the moment of injections (could also be a reason) or may be you hit a nerve.
Try to massage the place after injection or apply some heat on the site

glutes are hard for me to pin, i do it laying down on my stomach leaning slightly away from the side im pinning, helps keep my hand steadier and limits pip. try hitting your quad and see if you get the same pip...if you do it could be a reaction to the carrier oil or solvent

Post injection pain usually comes about 24-48 hours after the injection. A lump is often indicative of oil in the subcutaneous area between the muscle and skin. Your problem is likely caused by not going deep enough into the muscle (I always use 1.5" pins for glutes), or possibly your technique. It's easy to move the pin around with glute injections since its often an awkward angle to reach. Picture the tip of the pin moving back and forth and you can see why it could make you sore. It could also be the gear that's causing it. But with the lump you reported, I would be willing to bet you're simply not going deep enough bro. Take some ibuprofen and wait it out.
