Best Mass gainer on the market
ad
Hello
I want to add 5 kgs to my frame & not the fat kind. I find it impossible to eat 3000+ cals a day. Im busy, 2 kids, busy job where i eat when i can. That's just life.
I mean unless i had a private chef specializing in clean carbs my intake is just to inconsistent.
In your opinion what is the best supps for adding good cals to a weight gain diet.
Im currently using
http://www.sportyshealth.com.au/Balance-100-Whey-Protein.html
which i like but doesn't cut it for bulking purposes. Per 100 gr though good protein to carbs ratio
Thanks

My mass gain shake...
1 scoop ON pro complex gainer
1 scoop NOW foods Carbo Gain
1 banana
1 chobani greek yogurt.
Made with skim milk.
High cal High pro High carb.
It might be nearly impossible to eat 3000 cal plus in just food but it should still be primarily food intake. Shakes are a supplement. I like the Rebuilt Mass from GNC, but I break one serving down to three shakes. If you are eating out alot due to time, try prepping high protien foods the night before. I cook two chicken breasts on a George Foreman at night and take them to work. I take two of my shakes as well and just mix with a stick blender. You have to track your intake if your goal is clean weight. Once you know what you eat regularly it gets much easier. I push myself to get 3500 a week when I am bulking, and I can usually hit 5 lbs per week, with little fat gain. And I am a hard gainer.
dbolzWhy not make your own? I use 2 scoops of protein (50g), 2 scoops of instant oats (100g) and 2 dollops of 100% natural peanut butter. It costs nothing and you wont find a better tasting shake out there. Have a look at myprotein or bulkpowders. I would never pay over the odds for a mass gainer full of sugar since i can make my own mix.
Yeah I make my own with grounded up oats too.
dbolzThe peanut butter makes all the difference as far as taste goes and its very healthy source for efa's too. The one i get has no added salt or sugar and also makes those shakes highly addictive. When you get sugar or choc cravings just hit one of those shakes and you will be satisfied on the spot. Just dont have too many of them during the night
As long as your protein is choc flavor is like having a healthy snickers bar basically.
I get my efa's spread out through the day and have them in my solid post workout meal 1 hour after training, not a fan of having fat immediately after training. I only have one shake a day post workout and taste is a non issue for me, though I still think just protein and oats tastes really good.
dbolzI try to have two of those shakes per day they are about 800cals per shake but i am a "hardgainer" as well. I use one more shake at night just protein only. Also 4g of omega3 split 2 caps with breakfast and 2 caps (+1g of evening primrose oil) after my biggest meal which is most times post workout. Its weird how those oats taste grainy at first and then when you get used to them the more grainy the shake is the better it tastes. Hate oats normally but those instant oats i can drink them all day long.
interesting
Yeah just blend it all up man i got a blender on eBay for $40 bucks
i now have my breakfast as a shake as well with oats 6 eggs banana and cocoa powder.
Most mass gainers are just crap and use maltodextrin as a filler for the carbs which is basically a sugar. It has a slightly different structure then sugar which allows them to use it and not include it as sugar on the contents table but is still very high GI. Your better of with just getting a good quality whey and making your own mass shakes or just eating food. If i had to recommend one with maltodextrin i would say optimum nutrition's serious mass or there higher protein mass gainer complex gainer. If you can afford it look around for a mass gainer that doesn't use maltodextrin for its carbs. I have never used one myself as i just use Optimum nutritions 100% whey gold standard. Your just paying heaps for a super crap and super cheap sugar made from corn.
Is there something i can have out there that will give me approx 1000 cals in one sitting.
Looking at something like this atm
